Just a suggestion, but some grease on the receiver should stop it from popping when it’s pressed down.

Hey man, I’m trying the same thing right now. Just trying to push my front side to the left a little bit and leave it. I’m using the Chinese version of the Willer, which could be the same thing starts with a V evolver or something like that anyway, I used painters tape an index cards a lot. I have pretty good luck with that and regular vices and punches

I didn’t go far enough… lighting got much better towards the middle. Sorry about that critique! At the 9:30 mark your working on the front sight. Did you notice a slight canting of the slide in the pusher? I have noticed this and I don’t seem to be able to get my slide 100% locked down to prevent that. It’s basically canting up on the side the pressure is coming from.
@TheVictorOfTheDIY
@TheVictorOfTheDIY Жыл бұрын
@@OGStr8UpJack You might want to try a spacer made of folded Duct tape as a spacer to bolster the mechanism on top of the slide to add more force down.

@@TheVictorOfTheDIY thanks… I stopped trying on the rear sight and went to the front sight. It came right out. I purchased the Ameriglo Sights on LTT website si it was really the front sight I wanted changed. I left the factory rear in because I don’t think I would like the blacked out version… maybe it was for the best I had difficulty with the rear.

Well let's see, I built the rifle about 5 years ago and each time I shoot it I put about 100 rounds through it. I take it out to shoot about 2-3 times per year and I haven't had to do anything to it yet; but, when I do I'll let you know.

Well whatever it was it was way too much. I think if you watch the first part of the series, I kind of tally it up. But this was around the time when Obama was President and the price of guns and ammo where very high and it was hard to find a cheap AK. For the jigs and the gun parts I think I spent pretty close to 1200 dollars. I bought the jigs with the idea that I will be building more in the future so it will be cheaper and cheaper with each build.

nice hunting ... now you just need a good dog to find those birds for you :D of course I do know how damn hot it gets in Imperial Valley .... I bring frozen gallons of water for my dog to lay against to keep him cool and try to get out of dodge before 10am .... or hunt more upland wooded areas in SD county where you can find a nice oak to sit under all day. Anyhow cool video, was that just the go pro head strap mount or something special? I have the head strap but was thinking of getting on of those Capture Your Own Hunt mounts for my Benelli M2 ....

Hey great video and thanks for sharing! My family and I have been Dove hunting up in the Central Valley/Fresno area for over the past 20 years. Unfortunately I wont be able to make up there this year and have been looking for some where to hunt in San Diego area (Imperial Valley) any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I don't expect you to share your honey hole(Unless you really want to) but if you could at least give a general area recommendation that would be great! Thank you and good luck this year!
