As she does on so many of her primetime guest shots -- many of which Tonja Walker was good enough to list above -- Jess Walton brightens 'The Last Job' episode [Sept. 26, 1971, ABC] of "The FBI" in the 7th of its 9 successful seasons on Sunday nights 'back in the day' that I viewed on the wonderful* Warner Archive DVD set. She plays 'the girl,' the pretty girl of course, who gets snared into a life of crime because she can't resist falling in love, being in love, with a hood played by fellow guest star David Canary. He back then was a big cheese in primetime because of his role of Ponderosa (Ranch) hand 'Candy' on NBC's juggernaut "Bonanza" and before his reign on "All My Children." Jess capably holds her own opposite Canary and his fellow Army payroll robbery team bad guys played by Guy Stockwell and John McIntire. She and McIntire have two nice scenes wherein he tells her she reminds him of someone from his past -- clearly Jeannette Nolan (Mrs McIntire) as his wife before a 27-year stretch in lock-up separated them -- and gently prods her to give up Canary and go straight. Anyway, THAT viewing is how I 'stumbled' across this friendly, engaging, revealing interview and 'chat' between former co-workers and friends to this day. Clearly for the KZbin Universe, it's nice to 'be a fly on the wall' and witness these two women who excelled in their personal lives as beloved daughters, wives, moms and grandmothers. That said, so . . . "Thank you, 'Tonja Walker TV.' . . . TMI -- Oh, and speaking of westerns, i.e., "Bonanza," surely 'a feather in her cap' is Jess landing the title role in the 'Patricia' episode the following season wherein her character is the love interest for series regular Newly (Buck Taylor) and *SPOILER ALERT* they marry. And *SPOILER ALERT no. 2* just like in those "Bonanza" episodes where one of the Cartwright men fall in love and the lucky lady is NOT so lucky 'cause she's doomed to die by episode's conclusion, leukemia takes the life of Patricia -- making Jess beautifully conveying her wedded bliss with Newly very brief. *wonderful in that the original 35 mm prints as transferred to digital are clear, sharp, complete / uncut -- but sadly lacking in any 'extras.'

How much do I love this woman! I loved her late husband, too. He has a grief recovery program that truly helped me what my Dad died in my 20’s. We were in Capitol together, and she became a mentor to me. I told her I felt like my insides were on my outsides, and she recommended his workshop to me. It really helped.

What a wonderful conversation with J.Eddie Peck! Thank you for having him as your guest and showing the world what a genuine, down-to-earth and kind-hearted soul he is….truly has a heart of gold. Not to mention an infectious smile and an abundance of charisma. The whole interview was very entertaining and gave people such a personal insight into how diverse his life snd career has been outside of soaps. He is such a amazing, loving family man, too, and you can hear the pride and love in his voice when he speaks of his wife, Sonya and sons, Austin and Dalton. I have had the pleasure and honor of knowing J. Eddie since 1995 and it has been a blessing to call him a friend all these years. Thank you, again for having him!
