If you don’t appreciate this movie you must not have read the book or are in denial of how Ireland was around these issue for many many years. Best adaptation of a book I have seen in a long time or maybe ever. The town was perfect in it

Was a young adult in the 80s, and this movie is exaggerated bs. Make a movie about the slaughter of 42,000 Irish babies and the transing of our autistic kids, the hormone disrupters and slicing off breasts etc.. government push to destroy young people.

I nearly walked out of the cinema so many times. Only stayed as I thought it must be good if Cillian Murphy is in it and it'll get better. Wish I had left as it didn't.

I rewrote it as there's a recreation of a famine ship in New Ross called the Dunbrody. The lyrics i wrote was to tell the story of a man who must leave his loved one and family to travel on a famine ship to America...knowing he'd never see any of them again.
