This is the kids version in size 12 and they don’t specify the style. The length measures 34.5 inches long so it really depends on your height 😊 Here’s the link au.burberry.com/cotton-gabardine-trench-coat-p80694491. One thing, I noticed is the price increase! From ~$1300 to $2250 AUD!! 😮

I don't believe Burberry make unisex trench coats in this style. Never seen one... ever. That's clearly a men's coat, especially considering that the buttons close the men's way and it being a men's cut. It would just look wrong on you.

Do they have a black version? It would be perfect for “school” (Just a joke I don’t encourage school violence, it’s just a trench coat stereotype)

It’s because you bought the kids size. It’s not meant to be tapered for kids. More of a throw on coat for kids. I’m the same size as you and you really need to get the adult size US 2. It fits really well. The jacket is a classic staple. Worth the adult prices as you will wear it for years to come.
@IssyC_C4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. I definitely agree the adult version is more align with the style I’m after and Chelsea is gorgeous. However, I’m undecided about making this purchase as I’m not a fan of the lighter tone buttons. I wish Burberry would bring back the previous style with more contrast ☺️

Looks like a men's cut. The ladies coats are usually more fitted around the waist, while men's are a little boxy. And it's maybe a size too large. Color and length look good on you.

Why don't you do the belt up correctly. The coat is fine, being made to wear extra clothing underneath.

Don't buy the kid's version because it's made in Italy (made by other factory for burberry). Only the heritage coat in the adult version is worth the investment because it is made in England at their Castleford, Yorkshire factory. This might also explain why their heritage coat cost so much.
@IssyC_C5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Ernest Lesmana! I didn’t know that! I just assumed they’re all the same given it’s 100% cotton 😔

Italy is the kingdom of craftsmanship of clothes. All the luxury brand produce there because the italian artisan have the knowledge that nobody have. You don't Know what are you talking about.
@ernestlesmana70114 жыл бұрын
@@rossellalaface492 I’m not implying the made in Italy version has lesser quality. Considering that Burberry is a British brand, I’m simply suggesting that their heritage trench coat line is a better investment since it is made in their Yorkshire factory like they always been for almost a century.

The label that's writen on the box it's not what Burberry usualy did. And the packiging itself seems very cheap. And the coat seems also very very cheap
@breakfastatburberrys64135 жыл бұрын
It's because of Riccardo Tisci. When he replaced Christopher Bailey as creative director, Burberry pretty much did a 180 and all their stuff is way overpriced, tacky, and bad quality. Riccardo turned the classic honey and gold packaging to an ugly black and brown. They even changed Burberry's signature font into a plain sans serif that's found everywhere. Visit any Burberry store (that isn't an outlet) and they'll give you the ugly brown package that matches the UPS man's uniform.
@InstantLuc5 жыл бұрын
BreakfastAtBurberrys I’ve also noticed they’ve started producing tacky clothes with ugly, over stated logos. They’re selling more clothes now so maybe we’re wrong?
@breakfastatburberrys64135 жыл бұрын
@@InstantLuc I don't think that we're wrong, but I will admit that we might be slightly biased in our outlook. If you look into the details of the reports, it shows that most of the 'growth' is from Asia when they started to do the whole logo-mania theme with TBing everything. In terms of flexing, it's more common when it comes to 'new money' countries, which kind of makes sense when there was a historically economic depressed country that comes into an economic boom (for example, China). Being Chinese myself (but born and raised in the US), I noticed that certain brands that are heavily monogrammed (such as Coach in the 00's and LV from late 00's to current) are very popular among Chinese nationals, including some cousins that immigrated from China to the US. Some of my cousins' opinions as Chinese nationals is that they want to have a more obvious show that they can afford quality items in an easy way, even though branding does not necessarily mean higher quality.
@InstantLuc5 жыл бұрын
@@breakfastatburberrys6413 it's very bizarre but I can agree this is likely the case. Just like the success of many ugly Gucci quartz watches, they big logos are loved by new money. It's ironic considering how Singaporeans and Japanese love understated designs. China is it's own beast. I have no problem with brands serving the market but I do wish they would be more regional. I've been to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Tokyo, Vancouver, LA, Toronto, London and Manchester this year. Every brand carried the exact same inventory in each location except for a few exclusive products in Tokyo. It made it incredibly hard to find a good passport holder. If the big monograms were widely available in places like Shenzen and Shanghai, with limited supply abroad it would be less of an annoyance. If the big monogram products were different and limited to each region, Chinese tourists would get to enjoy exclusivity. Sneakers work this way.
@breakfastatburberrys64135 жыл бұрын
@@InstantLuc I don't think it's that ironic. Japan and Singapore actually had their own logomania before China became the new logo loving monster it is today. However, Japan and Singapore had theirs in an era without much social media, which is why I think they eluded the whole 'crazy tacky rich Asian' stereotype. Some Chinese are starting to get away from logos very slowly, but with more people prospering economically, it just adds more fuel for logos. I completely agree and think that certain items should be offered on a region basis, and that's what kills me. I love the understated items more than heavily branded items. I still remember that hardcore sneakerheads used to have a very jetset lifestyle, just to get that one pair of limited edition shoes in an obscure shop in the middle of Japan. Those were literally the days where luxury was a treasure hunt and an experience, which I think made it all the more rewarding to own the item.

@breakfastatburberrys64135 жыл бұрын
They're sadly genuine. When Riccardo Tisci replaced Christopher Bailey, quality pretty much went down the drain. And along with it, erased about 95% of Burberry's lasting heritage and allure. There was a few months where Riccardo tried to replace the classic tartan pattern with stripes.
