I'm soooooo with on you on your sentiments about rating books, I've completely forgone rating books in my videos because star ratings are so subjective to everyone. someone's 3 star could mean something completely different to my meaning of a 3 star. I only rate books on goodreads because it is a feature on the app lol and I keep it simple. no half stars or anything because what tf does that even mean 😅

also so glad to see monstrilio in your list!!! I loved it sooo much as well and I loved your thoughts on monstrilio being a physical manifestation of their grief! everything about the novel worked really really well and I loved the used of POVs in this. spectacular ending as well aahhh talking about it is making me want to reread it immediately 🤭

I would place the ones I have read on the bottom & top shelves, a centre shelf for what is happening now in terms of soon to be read with the someday to be read filling the still bare shelves ... to fit more in one can stack them horizontally ...

Sylvia was as mad as a box of frogs her entire life ... she had tried to kill herself before she finally succeeded. She was a perfectionist ... I have the volumes of her published letters ... over 2000 pages ...

We do not have to like all the characters in a piece of fiction ... they are as the author intended them to be ... who knows? We may not like them as perhaps their flaws are too close to ones we ourselves carry.

the book and movie of Coraline were actually made at the same time! Neil briefed the idea with the directer and then they both created there own variations of the plot which explains the difference i.e Gaimen setting in England as he is English and Selick setting it in America as he is American

I’ve just started this book and I find Adeline to just not be a nice person like I don’t get it the way she sees herself and her swearing every two minutes and the constant talking of if she was a slasher film I find her force for edginess to be annoying she’s very self centred and just annoying to me 😅
@OlivaHalimahАй бұрын
OMG, Haunting Adeline is an intensely spicy read, so make sure you’re comfortable with its themes, as it delves into sex trade and has some very dark, dominating elements, something I personally enjoy if that’s your taste. The storyline is captivating, and I’m eagerly anticipating the rest of the series because I need to know what happens next! Haunting Adeline is edging close to being my favorite book of the year. For 2024, though, keep an eye out for Sex God: Uriel and Den of Vipers, they’re my top three picks!

I just wanna know why people read a book that they already know they would not like? Like did you all read the trigger warnings ? You were ok with it and started reading it and then just suddenly hate the book for a thing that you already knew it would happen? I think you all need help actually not the people honestly liking it
@alliestephenson2 ай бұрын
@@karlenasanchez babe….i didn’t know he was going to penetrate her with a gun when I started the book. I also would rather try different things and get out of my comfort zone than stay in my own little bubble and read the same thing all the time!

Gotcha 😅 it’s just that, I really cannot understand why people keep doing this, reading a book that they already get warned about. But it’s ok, I actually liked your video and love the duet. It’s ok if you didn’t like it. At least you were honest about it and conscious enough to understand that you put yourself in that situation
