We do something much simpler. We tie a figure 8 on a bite, put the bite thru the bale and over the tip of the nozzle the raise. It’s super fast because we keep that bite on the rope in the bag so there is no knot to tie on scene. We use it at fires all the time.

Good training video. In cold climates we never put the hydrant wrench on the ground. You can easily loose it.

Es la técnica más agotadora que existe ,ya que al ponerlo sobre las piernas del que está abajo la víctima se clava en el de abajo y resulta muy desgastante empujarlo hacia arriba desde abajo

For part 2, was it like a length of 3 boot steps the male was from the female when you folded it?

Don't forget to open the air bleed on the inlet port on the engine. This will bleed the line of air as you charge the line, so you don't cavate the pump. 32 years as a firefighter/driver.

As the lead instructor at my fire department I am just wondering why your recruits train without PPE/SCBA when doing a vehicle fire. timestamp 01:43

Why isn’t the hydrant bag in the same spot as the 5” hose? That would make sense.

oooow you forget the MOST IMPORTANT step, FIRST check if it is depressurized. The stem should be inspected and cleaned each time. This is a dangerous video! Please read the Johnson Controls/Sentry manual!

This only works if the victim holds his arms at his sides. It slides off as soon as the victim goes limp. It’s not practical for movement over more than a short distance. (Bonafides: 30yr firefighter, 10yr training officer, 20yr tactical medic)

You can incorporate the legs into it if you have time. But there are better drags out there.
