0:31 that is the smaller front motor / inverter. The video later show the old 150 kW inverter of the old APP310 rear motor. In 2023Q3 VW launched the new rear motor APP550 with 210 / 240 kW inverter depending on model. The motor is very strong with 545 Nm torque. That is more torque than a Tesla Y LR with dual motors.

Lol. They are not important at all. Based on their business practices, they do exactly how well you'd expect. Not selling.This is how all bad companies should fare. Their products are worth at most, half of their current selling value. Rememeber that id3 was launched with a 31k price tag and sometime in the past, they jumped to over 42k. That's like a 30% increase. There was no inflation, no nothing to claim. In fact they caused an inflation to appear by unjustifiably raising prices. So, no, the VW ID series isn't important all all to the market as it seems. Wonder why Tesla is selling so well they literally need to ramp up production even more?! This is why. All potential competitors have outpriced themselves out of greed.

Thanks so much for your comments. In the conventional 3-pin configuration, the switching transition (i.e., turning on and turning off of the MOSFET) is limited by the device source inductance because the MOSFET drain current and gate current has a common path. By adding a fourth terminal (as seen in the 4-pin configuration), separate paths are created for the gate current and drain-source current which improves the switching transition. Therefore, a 4-pin MOSFET will have reduced switching losses than a 3-pin configuration. I am willing to explain the concept more to you if you are interested in a free class via ZOOM.
