Hey I’m just about to do the same. You say 25/50 teeth sprockets.. whats the rpm at 60mph ? Does that gearing match the original, or quicker acceleration with less top end, or vis-à-vis. Thanks

4" over's about perfect and w/ a 1" inch drop in the rear shocks for looks and handling IMO. TheEVO sportsters are just too damn big and heavy and powerful to get radical with a stock frame.

If you take the two bottom sub frame bolts out and loosen the top one, you can lift the sub frame and give you room to install your carburetor a little easier

@@GiraffeInvasion May God bless you. I'm a biker, SPORTSTER4LIFE, and I wrench on my bike all time, i was Curious about those bags you got on there so I flipped on and saw the Penty in the beginning and was like, hmmmm and then I saw you talking, didn't seem like a Satanist to me, so a leson in why i shouldn't be so quick to judge, I'll check this out. I struggle to get new people onto my channels, so I get the struggle, but I would venture to guess my views would go up if I stopped talking about God and your views and Likes would most assuredly go up if you prolly didn't have a penty as your slogan. Pinch bolts?
@gailmaplesden73802 жыл бұрын
Those are nervous bars and not sliders . If you hit a stump or Boulder with those the bolts will rip right out of the body and jack your truck up . I would fabricate some brackets to the frame while they are hanging there then once connected firmly to the frame take a Sawzall and cut the other brackets off and remove them from the body. Perhaps you could even lower them and bring them out some for better function . Or just take them off and package them back up to sell on ebay and buy a pre-made set of actual rock sliders .
@GiraffeInvasion2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Gail, I have since making this video moved on to actual frame mounted rock sliders.

I’ll give you an "A” for effort. I like the concept you have there, but I would not want to be seen in public with that thing on a nice bike like that. Your biggest problem is the flux core welding you are doing. Flux core is a pain to make look good for someone who can’t weld. Get a gas welder and practice with it. “Welds” are something that you should want to show off to the world because you are proud of how nice and clean they are. If you feel you have to grind a weld to make it look good, then start over until you can produce a weld that you are proud show off. Just using a gas welder will make learning to weld much easier. Now if I were you, I would hang that crash bar on the wall as a reminder to never use flux core again, and start over with a gas welder. I am terrified for you if you are riding with that creation you made attached to your bike because your welds will fail when you do lay that bike down. And trust me on this, you do not want to be impaled by one of those bars when it does break from laying that bike down. And you will lay that bike down eventually. It happens to every motorcycle rider eventually. There’s only two types of riders out there. Those that have been down, and those who will go down.
