Eg husband may be interested in real estate part and takes ownership in maintaining papers for the house, planning ahead etc. wife may take charge of maintaining relations, monthly budget for living etc. There may also be a few common areas by both such as raising children etc. Than for the areas outside their domain, they can be students and learn from each other as a working knowledge. Eg wife should know basics about real estate, where the papers are kept in the house, able to understand them etc. Husband can get a basic understanding of routine work from wife and use that knowledge as and where required. Key message is there should be teamwork.

However, what I have observed is that the absolute decision doesn't work among couples. Please learn Lean Six Sigma or contact professionals on this who can guide on improving productivity, improving quality , ensuring OTD ( on time delivery of work ) in addition to generation of more profit and reduce work load . Also employees need to be financially literate in order to be financially free at some point in their life. Please read and implement "from the rat race to financial freedom" by Manoj Arora. It took me eight years to become financially free. If you agree with the dialogue of the movie Singham it will help " meri zaroorat hai Kum eesliyee muz may hai dum ". Avoid spendthriftnes and save and invest along with family support.
