Does anyone know if they put a restrictor plate in the Ttr50? I know it has a throttle restriction screw.

I know, no one reads the manual, the manual that came with mine showed/explained about the washer and the throttle stop adjustment.

Lol, same, just got one for my son. And when I got it home from the shop, I realized it had like zero power. But after ten seconds of going thru the manual, I realized what the power problem was. That dang throttle reduction plate.

Realize this video is now a year old but worth noting that Also carb tuning makes a huge difference. I got a 2017 recently and it already had restrictor removed but still sliw/bogged down...tuned the carb and it was about like your before/after

no not at all. I work in service at a yamaha dealership and most of the time we take these out before we sell them. imho they shouldnt even be there in the first place.

just make sure you put the washer back in there properly or youll have an exhaust leak

Did u have problems with the rev restrictor I just bought my son one who told accelerate at all unless I take the full bolt out

My recommendation coming from somebody who plays the tenor trombone, is to somehow make an actual trombone mouthpiece fit inside of there and you might get it to sound like an actual trombone
