Watching this for the 1st time shortly after the 2024 election and the darkness, anger and hopelessness that followed. Just the antidote I needed. Thank you.

In the light of what God has done for us in Christ this is a heap of dung which will be burnt to ashes before your eyes Rob. You will be saved because God loves you to much to leave you there. Turn back to Jesus Christ and Him crucified so you can be a living, Holy Spirit- filled testimony of Christ in us, the hope of glory!

This was so good for like the first hour or hour 20ish…. Then just devolves into total nonsense, especially towards the end… turns into a bunch of “aligning yourself with the direction of the universe” crap. Which is extremely disappointing because that entire introduction there were so many amazing parallels and hints towards God, but he only hints at it as “what some people call it”. He sites scripture, and alludes to God and Jesus, but then completely abandons Him for a bunch of “the universe” nonsense

When Jesus was alone, the twelve asked him about the parables. And he said to them, “To you has been given the secret of the kingdom of God, but for those outside everything is in parables, so that they may indeed see but not perceive.”

41:45 where did you get this idea that this thing should be something other than what it is? Bible is truth. God is the word and the word is God. Pray for this man. “But false prophets also appeared among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves.” 2 Peter 2:1 “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,” 2 Timothy 4:3

I know that this was spoken in the context of projects and more career or hobby oriented work. But.....this also describes what I do in relationships. I hold on to the goal for dear life, even when it is obvious that the other person isn't working towards it at all, aren't meeting their own role. "What was once a goal can become a fog." "There's this thing that I do," a role that comes along with specific goals. I was a wife for a long time. I was a good wife. I'm not anymore. Not in the role. "What was once a goal can also later be in the way of the new thing; we dismiss the new creation..." Interesting.

I do love the absurdity & poetry of Oh Thit. 😂 I heard about this statue in an audiobook, and I had envisioned a version of Babyface when you described it on your desk. Parts were edited out of the book, including "oh thit," because I think I would have remembered that. Now I have stumbled across the story detailing where you found it and more connections the piece has in this world. Babyface is not what I imagined, but I find myself pleased to know what "the real" Babyface looks like. How funny and strange and wonderful. 😊❤

This man is the result of somebody creating their own God and committing idolatry. Went from a pastor to supporting homosexuality, swearing and crude talking, making fun of the Bible. He now speaks of Jesus as some friend that hangs out with you while you sin and somehow that makes Jesus happy. Jesus is holy and perfect and hates sin. Folks PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read your Bibles so that these men don't deceive you

This is utter and complete nonsense. Anyone that listens to this and is duped by this stupidity I feel sorry for. The whole thing is based of a very WRONG assumption and characterization of the formation of the universe and he uses that to justify all the other nonsense. Particles bond together because of nuclear forces, atoms to other atoms through covalent bonds by sharing electrons, Molecules through chemical bonds. Those are NOTHING like emotional bonds that humans use to "connect" together. They're the same words with completely different meanings and he has to obfuscate that fact to make anything he says work. And Dissimilar atoms bond together all the time. What is this nonsense about "Similar essensce and substance" Have you ever heard of WATER? It's oxygen bonding with hydrogen. That's not similar at all. What the hell even is "essence". That's just woo nonsense.

@@TheClearwall He is speaking in parallelisms and conceptual intersections between science, history, sociology and spirituality. It’s literalization of speech and allegory. Read this message in its context! This is not a physics lecture at a university. It’s a poetic approach to ontology and epistemology in a faith setting.

@@TheClearwallEntropy’s denotation in physics, according to the laws of thermodynamic means the unavailability of energy converting into mechanical work is seen as a sign of randomness in the system. Entropy also has a parallel definition connoting unpredicatibility (randomness) and a gradual decline to disorder (chaos). Bell used entropy in a philosophical and political connotation, a context to describe the state of society’s unavailability to move in the right energy to avoid the societal disorder we see around us, making a parallelism with the physics definition. His “sermon” made total sense to me. I respect your opinion, - only an opinion, not a fact.

Rob Bell re-works and re-configures the Biblical Jesus to be an amalgamation of who Rob Bell wants Him to be. To really know Jesus Biblically, just pick up the Bible and READ first. Then, you'll be able to weigh Rob Bell's Jesus with the REAL, authentic Jesus.

Nice man. This is great. My old man is a big time drinker, sometimes fun, sometimes not so much. When I think about him though it's this photo of him holding me as a newborn, and his eyes are wet with tears of clear joy. We been through alot together, and despite all the tension and issues we caused one another, that's what I would show someone if they wanted to know who he was at his core.

An elderly couple is at the entrance of a restaurant. The man says "I'm so old I can't remember if I just came in or I'm now leaving" The woman says "well, are you hungry?". "Yes, I guess we just showed up!". Science sees the universe unfolding and thinks "It came from simplicity to complexity". The Bible says God made everything perfect and it's slowly rotting away. I wonder who's right? The cosmic, eternal eyewitness/creator with a limitless perspective, or the creatures who seem to believe they just showed up five minutes ago whilst also believing they have all the answers. 🤔
