It's nice to see you thinking throughout the whole process. Education of a style and pell work, as you said, is only a part of the skill. Without experience of the fight, it limits your skill drastically. I would add that its not just how you will handle your weapon in that fight, but also how you can process the quick changes your opponent applies to you in said fight. I've known a lot of fighters that were very good with a weapon style, but once you apply aggression in a fashion, they are not expecting they fall apart. They couldn't see through the whole fight. I know that sounds weird, but as you know, active fighting allows you to see fights as they happen, and gives you a better chance to allow your reactionary side of your combined education and hands on skill to win the fight. Trying to think through the fight is more often failure. Reaction in the fight keeps you alive and gives you the upper hand over a fighter that is thinking what to do next. You had some good explanations in the vid, i would suggest that if you're going to be speaking, get a mic cover to cut the wind noise and speak at the camera and not face away. Good effort.
