I watched Part 1 and Part 2 of this subject and found it fascinating as it is the way of the future for aviation maintenance... Other than in part/component replacement forecasting, or maintenance decision making based on HUMS data being captured, what other aspects of AI can be developed or integrated into and owner/operator maintenance programs? I know there is an ongoing effort to try and get maintenance credits from data captured, but how far are we away from aviation regulatory authorities actually approving those credits to alleviate their approved maintenance programs?

The full article on Vertical covered some of these topics, but in regards to maintenance credits, that is very much something still in front of regulators to evaluate. We can for sure take your question to the next panel we do with those leading the charge with AI tools serving the helicopter industry.

I have been foot on the grounds on fires that Desiree has worked. There was a certain sense of security when you would look up and see Desiree's numbers on the bottom of her helicopter.

I was lucky enough to serve and deploy with CJ in the Marine Corps and got to know him. Hes the reason i became a helicopter pilot. He was an instructor at my original flight school. Great man and an outstanding pilot. It's so awesome to see him kicking ass over at MD Helicopters!! Thanks for sharing this video!

I have never wanted to be on the Police Force, but I have a lot of respect for the men and women who wear the uniform. That said, I have always wanted to fly helicopters; however, becoming a commercial diver and a snowboarding instructor, working on ships, traveling, and living around the world put that dream on hold. But after listening to Helen's story, she has inspired me to chase that dream of becoming a helicopter pilot. So, thank you, guys, for having her on your podcast and putting her story out there.

I have no flight experience, only time I have been in a plane was a single engine Cessna at the Riverside Airshow when I was a kid, maybe 14 or so. My dad got me one of those flights where they go up and do a loop around the city and land again. That was fun, it was back in about 1998 or 1999ish. I also too a helicopter tour of the Crazy Horse monument when I was around 9 or 10. My dream one day would be to get my PPL and be able to pilot a helicopter as well. I have been watching videos on the MD factory and watching other KZbinrs do the factory training. The scenery around Mesa and flying up the Salt River looks amazing. I would love to fly around Lake Havasu and go up around the river. I started out as an explorer in 98 with RSO and did some type of law enforcement ever since until 2022. I was a deputy last 10 years in a very rural county in Nevada. Was K9, FTO, rangemaster. LE is the best job ever, always wanted to do a fly along with RSO or RPD. Grew up watching Air-1 flying everywhere around Riverside when I was growing up. My best friend spent last 10 years at RPD as well. Happy flying and have fun in TN!

Great vid. Not sure about the announcer dude's overly dramatic voice at the beginning, but anyway -- is there a way to change the video recording framerate so that the MFDs don't flash? It's pretty destracting

To make a Police officer a tactical pilot without experience takes years. A military/ Army, Marine as a police officer is clear. Thousands of hrs in combat. He can learn your strategy very quickly and enhance your operation. And most importantly only hiring one or two as instructors on duty to show the capabilities and go outside normal flying is very beneficial. 2 cents.
