The open air carriage is a good idea and should be retained, but they definitely should upgrade from a diesel locomotive to an all diesel electric train set. With diesel electric, the diesel engines just provide electrical generation for electric motors to provide traction. This provides a quieter and smoother ride and allows for future electrification of the line, either in part or total.

Really cool shots man! I’m getting a VX981 myself this week. I have a Sony RX100m7 and Sony ZV-E10, and while they can get amazing footage, they aren’t as much fun to use as camcorders in my opinion! I’m getting the VX981 to take on trips with me, like you do

@@therealmattx I really like the simplicity of the camcorders, just point and record on auto. I wish it came with a better image stabilization though. I guess it could be fixed with a tripod or a gimbal. To record wide angle while walking, I prefer to use my phone or GoPro.
