I have been in occasional situations while showing a gun, or when others are in the room, when I will turn the gun away from others while checking/double checking a gun that I am certain is empty is actually empty. So, while checking I make sure to never point it where harm can happen. I always treat a firearm as if it is loaded. After all, our brains do not always function at our peak. Good habits prevent bad things from happening. I don't know how many times I have told others, especially beginners, to NEVER point a gun at anything you don't want to harm or kill...even when you think it is empty. I have seen that too often. It amazes me how there is always someone who doesn't use/have common sense. Where the gun is pointing is the first rule I point out...even before checking to see if it loaded. Excellent video.

If you guys don't mind me asking. What exactly is the difference between a California compliant? Say sig 320 or whatever you have here and a version that will go to say Arkansas. Sometimes you try to reset too fast. And you come out the trigger. Does it have a certain rate of fire? I don't understand I've seen some differences with the A. Rs, but I don't understand with the pistol. This would seem more dangerous if it takes longer to fire a follow app around or a double or triple tath to down someone because, as they're closing in on you. And you need to close the gap. If that's what it is that would suck because you would be running backwards. In between shots, this is b******* All countries, I mean, all states and cities need to stand together and file a nationli. Class suit against the Supreme Court to get our rights back to every state. I agree with the many points you are making with one caveat......I too am looking for a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, however I will not be keeping it past the manufactures warranty because of the massive paint corrosion problem on all Jeep JL Gladiators & Wranglers is extremely concerning for anyone that plans to own their Jeep past the warranty. I have done extensive research on this issue, Jeep has known about the problem but did nothing until late 2023, their solution was a zinc shim they call " sacrificial " which means the shim is designed to corrode before it transfers to the paint. The problem is the paint has been corroding in other areas of door panels, hood and tailgate, water seems to be getting into the seams at the edges of these panels, when this happens and the corrosion starts the panel has to be completely replaced because you cant remove the corrosive material inside the seam of the panel, it's a cancer that will eventually come back and destroy any fresh repaint job. It is "believed" Jeep is using a lower quality grade of recycled aluminum for the manufacturing of their panels, in the airline industry they use a much higher quality formula of aluminum with corrosion mitigating properties so they don't have to deal with paint corrosion problems on aircraft. Under Jeeps latest service bulletin It's unclear if Jeep has changed their aluminum formula, updated their paint prepping process or has done anything to stop water ingress into the seams of the panels.....So far Jeeps solution is to warranty the problem by replacing all the panels and a repaint, this would cost thousands of dollars to have done if out of warranty and is probably why Jeep Wrangler Rubicons are way overpriced today!
@ToddCotta3 күн бұрын
I will have to look into that. I hope mine will be OK.. Thanks for this information
@billredding20003 күн бұрын
What "massive" corrosion issue? Not on mine (a 2021 Gladiator Rubi) or any other Jeep JL owners I know, whether they have Wranglers or Gladiators. Yes, there have been some door hinge paint bubbling issues, but only occasionally and only some models/colors. It's such an UNLIKELY problem I'd not let get in the way of buying a Jeep. Same for "known issues" (but sadly, Jeep never issued any TSBs on them) -- meaning 2 especially: Leaking rear windows on Gladiators and broken sun-visors. BTW, I had BOTH of those issues, but I think they were corrected in subsequent year models (2022 and on, same as the paint issue). But even if it DID happen, it's a warranty item -- no big deal. Tell me ANY brand car/truck that doesn't have SOME issue. They're all basically the VERY SAME -- just get the brand/model you want and don't sweat the small stuff. I know I don't, and if I needed to buy new today, I'd get another Gladiator (Rubi) w/o hesitation. I plan to keep mine into early 2029 (when my Mopar Maximum Care extended warranty expires)...but I hear Gladiators might be discontinued in 2028. I honestly don't know what mid-size truck I would get in that case if I couldn't get a new Gladiator. Can only hope a mid-size Rubicon-equivalent truck is on the market by then but I also hope it's something Jeep makes. -- BR

@dvader32633 күн бұрын
@@mondogomez5 It's easy to pull up the carpet and interior panels and install about 30 pounds of sound deadening material to the floor, footwells and rear wall behind the rear seats. Also, if your vehicle doesn't have the factory sound deadening material applied to the underside of the roof, that is another small project which can be accomplished by the owner. These modifications will make your vehicle sound much quieter and make driving more comfortable.
@billredding20003 күн бұрын
Again, my experience differs because mine is as quiet on the road as any other vehicle I've had previously. Not so on rough roads though, especially dirt/washboard. But pavement, it's fine. Yes, I can hear my A/T3W Falkens a bit on the hwy, but they don't bother me at all. Maybe I'm just not so sensitive to those things. But really, it's a truck, not a sedan, so I don't expect it to drive/sound like a sedan, or SUV. -- BR

That set screw in the trigger does not adjust the trigger pull weight. It will adjust take up but it doesn’t work that way. It is to adjust the over travel of the trigger after the hammer falls. Be careful not to set it too far for it will destroy the hammer hooks. You should adjust it to clear the half cock notch on the hammer then back it up 1/3 to 1/2 more depending on the thread pitch of the screw. This will give it enough clearance to prevent damage to the sear. Trigger pull weight adjustment on the 1911 involves recutting the angle of the sear to hammer hooks engagement. Using different main spring and sear spring weight will also affect weight. Any competent 1911 should be able to hone and adjust that trigger to a clean crisp 3.5 lbs. If Kimber used MIM hammer and sear on that model a snobby 1911 gunsmith will advise you to get forged or billet competition grade parts if you want 2.5 lbs down to 1.5lbs.

Having built an AR9 from an Aero upper and lower this past Forth of July. Just my opinion and experiences. I want my magazine release button. Last thing I want in a God Forbid, Shoot or die situation would be to fiddle and fuss cracking open my lower and upper receiver. So I built featureless. Fixed stock, barrel nut, fin grip, 16" Barrel. I'm not a lawyer but I can read well enough and seek out what I think are solid opinions that make sense to me. So I found myself the Strike Industries Mega Fin Grip. I tried it out at my local gun store and thought " Yup.... This is it". I hate California Gun Law, Shark fins, and CA Politicians no end. However I found something legal, that works for me, and that I've grown to like. Much as I hate shark fin grips the Strike Industries Mega Fin has the fin offset to the left and this rather nice rest for my thumb. I can't run an ambi safety because my thumb would be hitting the safety. Moot point: Only time my gun is on safety is when it's locked up or during the range when a cease fire is called. The "Nugget" grips just wouldn't work good, well, or right. My big hands would hang up and cause no end of discomfort hitting the buffer tube and while things like the CQR one piece stock do look nice: There's three tabs that hold the CQR block off plate in place in the center of the stock. I'm not comfortable trusting my freedom and risking a felony to three little plastic tabs. There's a channel called "Blowback9" on KZbin. I followed Doug's advice. It's my opinion if not for Doug at Blowback9 my gun would have jammed, blown up, or been nothing but frustration. I have a CA legal rifle that would probably shoot rocks if I put them in the magazine. The only way I can get it to jam is to leave the chamber flag in the gun and forget to take it out after a cease fire ends.
