Factory option was the c282 or the 560 diesel or the later ones had a German diesel. Gas was an option as well.

We bought an old Massey 124 for $300 last fall. We went through it and retimed everything and made 600 bales with it this summer. She pretty wore out but still gets the work done.
@Bennnnnnnn1232 жыл бұрын
Hey! I just bought the same baler. Does the twine just feed through the guides or do you have to feed it into anywhere else after the yellow guides?
@SouthwindOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Feed it through the yellow guides and have the twine hangout a bit so when you extend them, the bale will catch the twine to start tying. After that it should be all set.

They don't make harrows like this anymore so we just repair the broken ones the best we can. For the ones we can't repair we just run it without them.

With all due respect to your farming methods, it would be much faster, and burn up less fuel, and not wear out your blower if you just put a line of silage in front of your bunker and pushed it in. We started initially doing what you do with the blower, and moved on to just putting a line of silage in front of the bunker. I wish you well.
@SouthwindOfficial2 жыл бұрын
This was the first time we decided to do it this way. We were thinking it would be a lot easier to blow it in then backing the wagons into the bunker. Never again will we be using a blower in the bunk after the experience we had.
