Thanks! Dante for audio and a switcher with multiple outputs for video is the shortest answer.

I have a problem where I couldn’t do a ecamm live while using serato and a radio broadcasting program everything worked except I couldn’t get a signal to the broadcast app
@JJSCTech18 күн бұрын
If you use loopback, you’d be able to route the audio into that app and use ecamm for the visuals.

if you check tht, how do you mix guest/interview audio? Does it still appear as slider in the audio menue?
@JJSCTech18 күн бұрын
It would come in as your mic. You can adjust the guest’s volume in the interview window. Usually, I have the guest volume to the max and they are never louder than my mic. This option is checked for higher fidelity in sound.

Great video and informative information! My church's live stream mix/output sounds very muffled/overly compressed. We have a separate mixer for livestream only and the source mix at that stage sounds fine but does not translate to the final mix. We are using Pro Tools and Midas HD 96. The mix output is routed to the Blackmagic video equipment that is connected to the computer that is running the livestream broadcast. We are using OBS feeding stream yard. I have read somewhere that the Blackmagic devices can cause this issue, but I can't figure out if it's the livestream settings in OBS or is the issue somewhere else in the signal flow. Can you offer some suggestions on how to resolve the issue?

Thanks for the video. I appreciate your passion. We use the stock plugin Logic version to multitrack record. We input monitor each channel as well. We use to train volunteers before we go all out and begin to use the mix for our stream. HOWEVER, from time to time we’ll get the dreaded system overload message in logic? Can you share your Logic settings to help minimize the error? Thank you!!
@JJSCTechАй бұрын
I appreciate you! It depends on your computer! What are your computer specs? It really depends on your computer specs. I have a 64 I/O buffer size.
@RevJorgeDiazАй бұрын
We have a base Mac Mini, M2 chip. 8gb RAM, 256gb SSD. Running Logic 10.8.1
@JJSCTechАй бұрын
The ram definitely is the issue. Also if you are doing multitracking recording, 256gb will be too small. With such a small amount of ram, logic will start to use swap memory (SSD storage) which will ware and tear your SSD much sooner. You can try to use a higher I/O buffer but that might increase latency. You will eventually have to get another Mac mini with at least 32gb of ram. You can repurpose the one you are currently using for something else.

Hello. Thanks for sharing. About the 10ms delay from the Simple Delay plug-in. How was that calculated? Is it 10ms delay on each channel? Thanks!
@JJSCTech2 ай бұрын
Hi it’s on the input channels! The delay is to compensate for the latency of the Gates during live mixing. It’s for sample accurate sync between the channels and prevents your drums from flamming.

Hey, for the DAW what would be the standard specs of the DAW computer to use for streaming?
@JJSCTech3 ай бұрын
Hey! The cool thing about DAWS is that the computer doesn’t have to be that crazy. Any i7 and up from the past 3 years will do. Get an SSD 256gb and higher and at least 16gb of ram. If you are doing multitracking, get 32gb minimum and 512GB or higher for the SSD. I’m actually using a 2013 Mac Pro trash can for a Dante setup with Logic.

Can I sync another Tentacle Track E 32-bit Recorder to the Tentacle Sync while it's connected to the stereo output on the MixPre, and sync them all together with the MixPre? I would appreciate your advice on this matter.
@JJSCTech3 ай бұрын
You can only have one master. If the mixpre is the master, you can sync all of the tentacles to it. Note that the track e or the sync doesn’t have to stay connected to the mixpre after it syncs up, so you can have many tentacles synced to the mixpre simultaneously.
@Histibe3 ай бұрын
@@JJSCTech Thanks so much for your reply! I really appreciate it. Does this mean I can set the MixPre as the master, connect Tentacle Sync to it, and use them until I power them off? If I power them on again, do I need to match Timecode again, right? By the way, what software can you recommend on PC to read timecodes in 32-bit recordings and sync Tentacle and MixPre files? Thanks for your feedback.
@JJSCTech3 ай бұрын
Yup, you can run them till they power off. Of the power of, you have to re-sync them to the mixpre. I haven’t tried this so I’m not sure. I think Resolve can sync TC.

No prob! It’ll work great with 1 guest if you are routing your system audio into the L&R output channels in loopback. If you have more than one guest, the audio doubles. I’m trying to work with Ecamm to resolve this.
@clintedmonson4 ай бұрын
Thanks for this post! I noticed the same about a week after getting my Apollo x4. Pulling audio in from each channel on the device is clean but the outputs mixed on the device's hardware bus (Aux, Mon, etc.) have a lack of fidelity making them sound like they are coming through a blanket. I'm a windows user and was able to use VoiceMeeter to achieve similar results to what you did with Loopback. Lesson learned...it has good preamps but is not a great mixer. Rock on!

Ok. So after hours of testing with some of my friends, it seemed like a weird setting was causing the Teradek to appear blotchy from my side. After I ended the ECamm stream and testing both the BM and the Teradek they both looked great! The Teradek not only looked good, but the colors. the dynamic range and the overall imaged was closer to the image that was coming out of the Komodo X. The BM also gave a weird green cast and it couldn't really pick up details in the highlights and the shadows. Don't get me wrong, the BM is still good and is very good for it's price, but compared to the Teradek's image and what it offers, the Teradek is the better encoder.

Another issue that is not often spoken about is the terrible ASIO support on Windows with Dante. I ended up using Voicemeeter, in combination with Dante Virtual Soundcard, to send audio from the PC to the mixing console, and to receive audio into OBS on the computer.

You might have a clocking issue. We had something similar when our DiGiCo S21 was the clock leader and we used its DMI Dante card for the clock source. In our instance the solution was to set the S21's Internal crystal as the clock source and then in Dante Consoller to set the S21's Dante to Sync to external clock (which would in this instance be the S21's Internal crystal).
@Garrett-C-gg11 күн бұрын
@@chriskistner5424 I believe this is what worked for me. It is a bit counter-intuitive because on the mixing console it is set to "internal" but in dante, (i have an expansion card) i have to set mine to "sync to external". Finally got rid of the issue.
