So surprised you didn’t go into Cohan’s pub you filmed. This is where the quiet man featuring John wyane was filmed. If you had gone in you would have seen a statue of him when he visited there. Plus the inside is kitted out like the original film. You also missed out on the pig hole and Abby etc.

Shannon is the face of American suburbia in the heart of Ireland - broad tree-lined streets, plenty of space, few people walking about. Lovely place - we lived in Newmarket on Fergus for a year before the pandemic - and did some of our shopping at the Dunnes store in Shannon. Also enjoyed the coffee at the local McDonalds. - but it's not Irish - gotta go to Limerick or Galway to get a feel of city living in the Emerald Isle.

I visited there last year when I was in Ireland. It was in the Summer so a little busier, but not by much. The whole village is able to be walked in about 20 minutes or so. I absolutely loved it and the people were amazingly nice.

Visit Shannon twice, amazing place, dinning in Durty Nelly's is a must. Rain proof clothing is strongly recommended. Planning to visit Ireland as an ordinary turist next time because it is an absolute beautyfull country.🤝👍

This was my grandmother's hometown. Her mother died and her father took all five children to Boston. 1880s My wife and I visited 20 years ago. We stopped at Flannery's and met Doctor Mcdarby. My grandmother's maiden name was Honora Fox. My mother found her home when she and her sister went 50 years ago. I think that they lived upstairs from the post office. Fantastic, brilliant to see everyone getting together and having fun and a chat to people who you haven't seen for ages. Reminds me of years gone by when we were growing up and ready to have a great time together Well done everyone. Put our town back on the maps Just missing the brush dance as we did on the back of Cummins lorry going around the town. Old traditions matter and have the best memories. ❤❤
