Brilliant!! Thinking of JP and the amazing legacy he left us all, I often think of his final album and then his final recording, how he could give such a treasure almost 50yrs after this classic. 🙏🙏🙏

Met Warren 20 yeasts ago when he was playing with The Dead. I was waiting at will call to pick up my tickets and all the sudden he walks right past me. Somehow nobody recognized him, but he stopped and talked with me for a few mins. Such a legend

Meh. They’re both great in their own right (ST far more). But must the same old standards keep being played? He sounds like a yodeler after a TBI.
@barbarasullivan6752Ай бұрын
The same old standards being played are because they've withstood the test of time. Maybe you prefer they played some shit by Jay Z?

Saw her do this song in a little club way back before she blew up, got to kiss her, and chat briefly. She's a very sweet person, BTW it was before she met Derek 😂 Edit: she also played this same guitar, the turquoise Caribbean mist tele although less signatures

👏 I’m 70ish and have listened to BOTH these artists many times, but NEVER together till now. THIS is it - I’ve been searching a LONG time for what I consider a good cover of the original and finally found one! I haven’t seen Dave live, but saw Susan at a TTB concert a few yrs ago and she was 👍 terrific, as were Trucks and the others. Not being a real fan of DM, when I was it was in duets with others like Warren Haynes (i.e. cover of Young’s ‘Cortez the Killer’, which I do 💕!). Come to think of it, this is THE 1st time I’ve seen Susan perform without Derek at her side 🤔, and being married are figuratively ‘joined at the hip’.
