Good review and I have the Sigma 1500-600mm contemporary lens and feel like it is very impressive lens for the price. It does hunt for focus with birds in flight sometime but once it locks on the images are very sharp. Bearing in mind the Canon 600mm prime is 10x the price of the Sigma, I think the Sigma does really well indeed. Thanks for the review though, very informative.

Thank you very much Gavin. It was interesting to hear that your lens is hunting and I am curious about what camera you use.
@gavinBsussex5 күн бұрын
@MikSwePhoto hi, thanks for the reply. I use a Canon R7. The hunting isn't bad and isn't a regular occurance. Any focus hunting tends to be small objects in the white sky in darker cloud conditions on the R7. Otherwise the sutofocus works great and I find the results are pretty sharp and clear. Thanks

@@MikSwePhoto This year i got my first images of owls (Short-eared Owl and Ural owl). Unfortunately we have nearly nonexistent population of Eurasian eagle-owls and Great grey owls in Estonia. Thus i probably have to rent a photo-hide in Sweden or Finland to get those images. Do you have any recommendations of such photo-tourism hides in Sweden?

@@loodusfoto3099 Owls are one of my favouritebirds but they are rather hard to find. I have no experience of a birdhide for owls in Sweden but I think there are some located in the middle part. Very nice and informative video. Great shots. Weren't you worried about the alligators sneaking up on you while you were taking pictures, or walking in the dark before sunrise? I want to visit Florida but wary about the alligators and crocodiles there.
@MikSwePhoto9 ай бұрын
Thank you so very much. At this place I didn,t see any gators at all and the surrounding ground is very open so it is easy to spot them. But in other places in Florida one has to have an eye out for possible gators especially if one is close to the water. At Circle B Bar I do not like to walk along some trails when the light is fading because of the many alligators that are in that area. If I have a person with me I use that person as a lookout and can get closer to the water. I have only seen crocodiles in the south of everglades so I think the risk of bumping in to one in other locations is really slim.

Thank you very much David. These beavers live close to people so they are more forgiving when people are around. It could be more difficult in less populated areas. They have relativey poor eyesight but a sensitive nose. So stay quite and out of the wind is a good start. You could also try to lure them in with some apples or some juicy twigs.
