What do you guys think of the Birmingham track ? And do you and the perico gang go to these open sessions most of the time or do you sometimes do members events. Just asking in terms of content creation Thanks Staticz
@lodgewhite3 күн бұрын
I quite like the Birmingham track. It's quite good fun and once it's warmed up the 90 degree bend is a good challenge. It ultimately depends. Usually they are just spur of the moment things. We did an event on Saturday night which I had to drop out of but still attended though after a nasty crash at Teamsport Bristol on Friday night where I no longer stayed in the kart. Stay tuned for the video on that one.

I'd be interested in your thoughts of the new Bournemouth track. I've been but wasnt really a fan. Far to little grip and track is nothing but slow speed hairpins
@lodgewhite13 күн бұрын
I am due to go do a south coast marathon in March of all the Teamsport tracks down that way. So I'll let you know then / feel free to subscribe and take a look at the video when it comes out then. Once I've done that trip I'll have been to every teamsport in the UK then! If it's anything like High Wycombe its taken 3 months to grip up so I'm hoping by March it'll be a lot better but I guess time will tell. It does look a very twisty track which is better news for me being a heavy karter.
@piers78013 күн бұрын
@@lodgewhite I think it's also heavily affected by temperature. I the day before they opened and on the day they opened in December. I went again this week and I think the concrete being colder massively decreased grip and couldn't get any temp in tires. On top of that I suspect they run the karts on a lower setting as they just don't feel nearly as fast.
@davidglukh647315 күн бұрын
Pretty cool, dude! What do you think of these vs the Teamsport locations? Have you tried the recently opened F1 in London? More interesting with the headset too, hope it isn’t too uncomfortable 😉
@lodgewhite15 күн бұрын
So these are SODI karts unlike Teamsport which tend to use BIZ and these Sodi's are a little different compared to the other Sodi karts I've driven. The wheel feels a bit higher but not unmanagable. The helmet has recesses for the speakers so it's not too uncomfortable and if you hold out for the Birmingham video coming out on Friday you'll see me communicating to friends while on track!. Thanks for watching <3

@lodgewhite when I'm really feeling the kart and it's handling well I can get in sync with the track and I'll be just steering with just my fingertips, sometimes only one hand!!! Just mobbing through the course and slower traffic like I'm on a different plane. I might even slightly brush a barrier once in a while using every inch I can. They would park my ass quick. The places I frequent here in the states are used to my antics by now though. Lol!

@Oscarmallettracing2 ай бұрын
@lodgewhite I did once witness Oscar warming up his tyres gently bury himself into the tire wall on the apex of the first of the double hairpins before the down ramp. Sadly it was before we set up on KZbin, but that clip is still buried somewhere in amongst a large collection of SD cards. You can bet if ever I come across it there will be an upload here 😂 But unfortunately for entertainment purposes he just doesn't seem to make mistakes....I may have just intriduced sods law by saying that 😆 I've just posted the side by side comparrison of speed 3 vs speed 4. Oscar says you definitely feel the difference, I remember hom coming off track from his first speed 4 session and saying "that was fast" as he breathed out a chest full of air. Here it is: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a2elf2quabBrra8si=vBtbFoQh4jsb3oIf

I do like Birmingham! I've been a number of times before when it was petrol as well. I think it'll be even better once my quest to lose weight is fulfilled. I bet speed 4 is really interesting there.
@Oscarmallettracing2 ай бұрын
@lodgewhite speed 4 and being on track with good members to avoid all them yellows. Oscar (I'm his dad here) rates this as one of his favourite Teamsport tracks, the more technical the better and this is that with plenty of places to overtake and defend. Ha ha good luck with the offloading journey, try getting to the bottom end of which weight category you want to race in. We did like the old petrol karts, far better than speed 3 on the new electrics but speed 4 trumps the petrol one's.
@lodgewhite2 ай бұрын
@Oscarmallettracing Question is though would you say its better than Warrington? As that's still my personal favourite especially on speed 4.
@Oscarmallettracing2 ай бұрын
@@lodgewhite errrr, no. Warrington is still Oscar's favourite track, it has everything. He loves technical sections and it has plenty then there's the flat out straight from the down ramp they say is the fastests indoor stretch in the UK. Next on his list is Manchester Trafford then I know he would say Coventry 3rd but he doesn't like the karts there so puts Birmingham 3rd. I would like to see him on the Sheffield and Leeds tracks, maybe a weekend coming soon 😁
