Grotowski do towarzysza ministra kultury: towarzyszu ministrze, prosimy o wsparcie na scenografię, na efekty świetlne, na muzykę, na charakteryzację... - no wicie, widzicie... kapitalizm sie skończył, trzeba ideowo podejść, bez tych nakładow odbierajacych klasie robotniczej chleb... wiecie, róbcie, działajcie bez tego, inaczej znajdziemy innych towarzyszy... rozumicie... I saw this movie when it came out, and I thought it was deep and wise and meaningful. When my wife was pregnant with our first child, we thought of using the name Jonah (but that wasn't a good name for a daughter, so we went with something else...). I hadn't seen it for years (it's impossible to find in the US), but a few years ago the Wisconsin Cinematheque got hold of a copy. I went to see it, of course, but I worried that it might look dated or foolish to my old and jaundiced eye. Not at all; it was as powerful and meaningful as ever. I wish I could find a way to stream the film and watch it again.

While he's almost staring down the entire time, the light casting onto his eyes through the glass makes him look nearly alien. Magnificent mind! He's very missed. Thank you for the english subtitles.

Unbelievable!!! How many incredible performances from Maria McKee in the 90's did I miss ?? Gaaaah. She's INCREDIBLE!!!

Saw her live a few times, including this album tour at Hammersmith Odeon and some place in Paris, two of the best concerts I have ever seen.

Merci M. Gaswinck (Mlle.?) I want to see this movie again especially for the onion-cutting scene. Marco's lesson reminds me to mention "The Dawn of Everything | A New History of Humanity" (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dawn_of_Everything), a fat book full of great stories we never heard before. Bon apetit!

I've never seen her live, but she is just an astonishing live performer based on the (many many) videos I've watched going back to that first Lone Justice tour. She's just a force of nature. I keep thinking at some point she's just going to catch fire on stage from the smoldering intensity. This is just a breathtaking performance.
