I remember running those on NJT many many moons ago and how smokey those old Detroit diesels were. We had four of them 500 series that ran one round trip a day to Hoboken N.J. from Waldwick N.J.. It was a forty eight mile round trip. By the way they were the best mosquito repellent ever. We also had two more RDC's that were MNCR the ran between Port Jervis N.Y. and Suffern N.Y.. Very nice video.

Nice to see it still serving it's community. The first fire co I was a member of years ago, had a 1980 Ford L800 (gas) with a 4 Guys 2,150 Gallon tanker on it. Last I saw it is still in service in Missouri now.

I wonder if the R&N can build a new regional railroad station in Tunkhannock and maybe buy the Shamokin Valley Railroad’s line?

29:57 and 30:47 what did It have a head at the 6743 or is it just a Cummins truck with a head? But the horn looks good but similar to K5LLA or K5LA

2:07 should’ve hear this on route 222 and 179…

Similar to Ford F350 with Cummins and Peterbilt 351, this horn looks like a ES44AC or GP37-2, See where the stickers that say toxic at 2:07? But I am onto a Cummins, due to Volvo VNL 2014 and Kenworth T680 2014 that could contain loud engine on this truck with trailer, Good luck seeing that at 8:41 or 17:47!
As a citizen of Nazareth pa I can comfrime that this happens every day

The truck tried to pull to the side when you have something in a truck it’s heavier making it harder to stop
@AustinTrainsOfficial11 күн бұрын
Its almost like the railroad added ringing bells and flashing lights to warn the driver ahead of time so he had enough room to slow down and stop safely
