idk, it's almost the same but i would rather FFXII combat. i prefer "intelligent" party members than being able to spam basic attack and a stagger meter.

You can switch chatacters and control them however you like so they won’t only spam basic attacks.

I know the unused party members can sometimes assist from the outside but what the heck did Yuffie just do there? I don't recall seeing them ever come into melee range.

I agree. This is the definitive modern-style gameplay in the FF series. I lvoe that you are able to control everybody and everyone has a unique style.

A significant portion the market moved to PC over the years and thankfully it’s putting pressure on these companies to release PC ports. It took a. Lot of patience because I switched right before this game came out and now I get to play it with high framerate and graphics.

Determining whether a game’s combat/gameplay is good purely through a visual video is a little ludicrous. It’s an on hands experience, this isn’t just for Rebirth either but any game. Second to actually playing would be someone describing combat while using visuals.

Chained Echoes was a damn good jrpg. It really felt like a small resurgence back to the old days. But Rebirth transported me back to 8 years old. Fucking game is easily a 10/10 and my personal GOTY. And I only thought FF7 Remake was only ok.

The visual is gorgeous, but how does that make combat amazing? I don't see much challenge you just smashed you buttons and that rhino just died without any threats to your team

Each character specialized in a certain area. Aerith subdued the hippo, Tifa staggered it, and Cloud did a ton of damage. So there was some strategy to it even though it didn’t look that way.
