isn't it crazy how this little game can confer a sense of speed far more realistically, intense, and anxiety inducing than any of the soulless mainstream modern titles? I played quite a lot of NFS Unbound, and it was cool and all, loved the punky vibe with the extra 2d fx, but it was like playing Asseto Corsa or whatever, no exaggerated sense of speed. This feels like the old NFSU-1/2 as a kid, where everything blurs, shakes, warps, NOS gives you this otherworldly trail of light, etc.

200 km/h in Night Runners feels like 600 km/h in Forza Horizon or any modern racing game tbh

He's actually going faster in the video, probably at 300 or more already. He's just using the stock speedometer so it reads like he's going 250 only, aftermarket speedos ingame can exceed to 400. But yeah still though, just going 200 alone in this game already feels dangerous let alone above 200
