I managed to fire a kind of piloted observation rocket up there while trying to find the closest platform to the ground, so I can build from that, I've also now unlocked some flyer parts so have made a simple quadcopter based on info from your vtol guide vid. Just need to upscale some designs for larger flying harvesters/refiners etc and I'll be good to move up there properly 😁👍

Wolf 2482 They keep updating it and making it worse and not fun. And when I say “updating it” I mean, completely changing the entire system. It’s still in “beta” but it was perfect the way it was. All they had to do was keep adding content (blocks, weapons, etc) and the game would of been fine. It was nicely balanced and fun to pay at one point.

Nowadays, an easy way to get a gyro is to craft it. It also sometimes drops from mission crates.
