I’m being genuine here and asking for clarification, but how come every single other Atlantean monster gets their cost effect when being detached from a water xyz? But when it’s from Levirtue dragon you say it’s not sending for cost? Just curious

@@darthblastoise0098 If this card is Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Virtue Stream" from your Deck to your hand. You can activate 1 of these effects; ● Detach 1 material from a monster you control, then add 1 Fish, Sea Serpent, or Aqua monster from your GY to your hand, except "LeVirtue Dragon". ● Target 2 Xyz Monsters on the field; attach 1 material from 1 of those monsters to the other. You can only use each effect of "LeVirtue Dragon" once per turn. Levirtue Dragon does not detach the xyz material for cost this is noted by the ; that is placed after the activation requirement. This means that it detaches on resolution not at the cost window

For example bahamut sharks effect reads as follows. Once per turn: You can detach 1 material from this card; Special Summon 1 Rank 3 or lower WATER Xyz Monster from your Extra Deck. This card cannot attack for the rest of this turn. Note that the ; is after it says to detach the xyz materal meaning that detaching is the cost for activation requirement so your Atlanteans will trigger here

Can you do combos for being handtrapped by shifter and droll?

​@@Regigigas-ny2rd Droll = abuse coelacanth; shifter depending on the hand is a turn skip since most cards need to either send to GY to summon or be sent to GY to trigger , but if you're playing the Icejade Aegrine you can wall with a Synch 10 or "turn skip" them back with Ghost sister (searched by Channeler) so you don't die.

That only works if they drop it draw, but a lot of opponents drop it when you activate shadow squad so you will give hin 1 draw at least. But maybe you can show how you play your turn then

@@galaxysam5753 everything in the deck is a target, you can go from almost everything you everything including ash

There's absolutely nothing to stop shifter. There is a line around Fuwalos in which you can summon Moulinglacia while only giving your opponent one draw. Outside of that, both it and Purulia truly do a lot of damage to this deck.

@@patricionavarro8981 no worries chieftain, you can play any other non engine you like. Sadly impulse doesn’t have a direct substitute as it’s so good as a hand trap. The build I played above has 10 non engine slots, 3 ash, 3 imperm, 3 inpulse and a called by. You can change those as you want.

@@freakyfishguy1692 But does it affect anything if I try to put two harpone fishborgs without the ceolcanth? I say due to restriction of some mermail or would it have a further extension, right?

@@LuisGarcia13324 oh it’s still an option for sure, there’s no exact way of playing Mermail. At the end of the day harpooner says either “summon a water from hand or summon a lvl 4 water”. Both those effects are decent!

@@frostielotr after checking, you actually right! I always thought it was same as going from MP1 straight to EP, never knew you had to enter MP2 just to go to EP. Sadly the outcome didn’t change much.
