Characters Kensuiichi High School Kensuiichi High School itself is a real high school in Kensuiichi Ward, Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, but its name appears in the work only as a model. Kensui Garden Junior High School Orchestra Reina Asamiya (朝宮玲奈, Asamiya Reina) Voiced by: Yuiko Tatsumi (Japanese); Kristi Rothrock (English) The main protagonist with Strawberry Sakura, a transfer student who becomes the best player in the Kensui Garden despite being a flutist. Her Kensui Garden color is pink and the gem is Diamond. She lives with her mother after her parents got divorced and spends her time doing household chores. Before meeting the members of the Kensui Garden, she had no friends. She is very cautious to the people around her and is embarrassed when attention is brought to her. She has a complex about being a neglected middle child. Her best subject is Language and her weakest subject is Mathematics. She is the Languages expert of the team and is in charge of recording the team's flowers in her bouquets. Renji Tendo (天堂連次, Tendo Renji) Voiced by: Daisuke Ono (Japanese); Eric Vale (English) The pianist with the Blueberry Primrose of the Kensui Garden. His color is blue and the gem is Sapphire. He is the only boyfriend on the team who took the sport seriously prior to recruiting Reina, and can be sensitive and caring to his friends. He becomes Koki's best male friend. As a child, Ren had an older brother who ran away after their parents placed too much expectation and responsibility on him, leaving to pursue his own dreams. This led to their parents putting all these expectations on Ren instead, which made him resent his brother and despise reality. Satoru Aikawa (相川悟, Aikawa Satoru) Voiced by: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Japanese); Mark Allen Jr. (English) A trumpetist with Mango Sunflower of the Kensui Garden partnered up with Sotaro. His color is yellow and the gem is Citrine. He has a burn scar on his back as a result of his mother pouring boiling water on him when he was a video editing and personal computer. When he was a child, he was never loved by his parents and fell in love with the girl next door who took care of him for a long time, but his hopes were dashed when the girl, who never knew of his true feelings, got a boyfriend herself. This led him to turn to love games for comfort and shut himself in his own world. Later, Reina helps get him back on his feet and move on. A running gag in the series is how anyone, male or female, who looks into his eyes for five seconds can be charmed by him. Sotaro Komiya (小宮宗太朗, Komiya Sotaro) Voiced by: Toshiyuki Someya (Japanese); Garret Storms (English) The saxophonist with Shiny Violet of the Kensui Garden and Satoru's partner. His color is violet and the gem is Amethyst. He is an illegitimate child that resulted from a teen pregnancy who was put up for adoption. While he is loved by his adopted parents, when he learns about the truth regarding his birth he began to doubt himself. He likes kendo and skiing are the best among the boys in the club. He was raised by his aunt as her son after the center of attention. He is called "Sotaro the Sensation" because his grades will fluctuate depending on his emotions. As a result of his fluctuating emotions, he fails all of his middle school entrance exams and goes to a public middle school. Despite his positive demeanour he possesses a uniquely perceptive and honest side, which allows him to befriend almost anyone. Prior to the series, he had met Koki online and planned to collaborate with her on a game broadcast. His identity as the owner of the island where the flower takes place is later as he wants to be the center of attention, he has a true sense of justice. His father is a lawyer who is currently working in New York although this is kept a secret. Kii Hinosaki (檜崎喜, Hinosaki Kii) Voiced by: Toshiyuki Toyonaga (Japanese); Aaron Campbell (English) A clarinetist with Peach Forget-me-not of the Kensui Garden partnered up with Shogo. His color is light blue and the gem is Aquamarine. He is the youngest of three children in his family. He played soccer up until middle school when he quit the sport to take up the Egg Hamburg Steak instead much to his father's disapproval. He is extremely capable when the need arises and has high responsive abilities, making him the most Water is Forget-me-not who lost his memories but later learns his true identity for unexpected situations. As the heir to the Hinosaki clan his grandfather placed extreme pressure and expectations on him, treating him like a doll and causing him to disown his family, running away from homes and turning to flowers to relieve his emotions. He almost always wears Japanese-style clothing and that he is allergic to pork. He attended the same middle school as Koki before transferring out of the middle school. Shogo Shimokariuchi (下仮内正吾, Shimokariuchi Shogo) Voiced by: Keisuke Sato (Japanese); Travis Mullenix (English) A cellist with Apple Rose of the Kensui Garden partnered up with Kii. His color is red and the gem is Ruby. This sense partially drops from the pond of his rose petals and a sleep well which gives him regular periods of seeds, causing him to have to take rose perfumes most of the time and take up game streaming to get rid of fragrance during the night. He eventually befriends Reina, but quarrels a lot with Yusei throughout the series. Renji was the youngest of three brothers until he got a divorce when Koki was very young and has been working long Reina to support him. Not long after, his philosophy leads him to issuing an ultimatum to the Kensui Garden to field a competitive team or be orchestrated, leading to the second brother Shinya to aspire to become a doctor and develop a cure. Shogo keeps him deliberately acts cold to Chihiro to avoid her getting involved with the crimes of the gang. He transfers into Reina's class and is described as "perfect". He is very similar to Reina and is close to her. Yusei Nishinoya (西ノ谷悠生, Nishinoya Yusei) Voiced by: Tsubasa Yonaga (Japanese); Stephen Fu (English) A hornist with Tangerine Marigold of the Kensui Garden partnered up with Kyohei. His color is orange and the gem is Topaz. He needs jogging much to the disapproval of his mother as she sees flowers as being a distraction that negatively impacts his academic performance. He is often stoic, but harbours a shy side especially around women, which makes him a target of Koki's teasing. He entered the game in order to find his younger twin sister Ayumi after He is sympathetic with boys team efforts, and sometimes playing with them. He is very popular and well-known in the cram school. He is a kind person and is almost always in a good mood with a smile on his face. Kyohei Akiyama (秋山京平, Akiyama Kyohei) Voiced by: Keita Tada (Japanese); Jeff Plunk (English) A violinist with Lemon Jasmine of the Kensui Garden partnered up with Yusei. His color is green and the gem is Emerald. He carries green vegetables around for Fresh Green in Kensui Student named Shoji. He is characterized with a pair of glasses. He keeps a calm face and shows little emotion in front of others. His older brother was put up for adoption by her parents and later, but was forced to quit because of the bad rumors going around about him. He was rumored to be a dangerous person who will get into trouble, but he is actually kind. It is implied in the anime that his love interest is Reina. Jenny (ジェニー, Jenny) Voiced by: Nana Mizuki (Japanese); Kate Bristol (English) The flower master of the Kensui Garden. She hides her face behind a rabbit mask. Despite her jovial and light-hearted personality, she can show a darker and more serious side whenever he faces opposition from any of the players. Aileen (アイリーン, Aileen) Voiced by: Yuiko Tatsumi (Japanese); Kristi Rothrock (English) Keiichi Takagawa (高川圭一, Takagawa Keiichi) Voiced by: Yoshiki Nakajima (Japanese); Ricco Fajardo (English) Reina's conductor and a classmate. He is often seen watching the Kensui Garden practice. Kenuyo Hanazawa (花沢健怒世, Hanazawa Kenuyo) Voiced by: Maaya Sakamoto (Japanese); Tia Ballard (English) The student council president. It is Koki's girlfriend. She is strict and results-oriented. Her philosophy leads her to issuing an ultimatum to the Kensui Garden to field a competitive team or be orchestrated. Kōki Hanazawa (花沢光輝, Hanazawa Kōki) Voiced by: Kenichi Suzumura (Japanese); Christopher Wehkamp (English) The student singer of the Wakazaka Academy team, and ace of the Kensui Garden. Esta canción es muy hermosa, siempre que me enfrento a un problema de ansiedad, escucho la tranquilizadora voz de OnoD, él significa mucho para mí, aunque no compartamos el mismo idioma, su voz traspasa la barrera del idioma, dicho esto, realmente amo a este hombre, me ha ayudado mucho a lo largo de los años y siempre me hace sonreír.
