What is really cool is you could set it up even better than this with the IF statements, albeit a bit more complicated. If balance of credit cards is more than zero, then transfer money for baby step 2 etc. IF balance is zero for baby step 2, then transfer money to baby step 3 etc

Set up sequence last week and I like it a lot. Does this method require liability accounts to be synced in sequence? I have one account that isn’t eligible to sync in sequence (as far knowing minimum payment and APR plus tracking the balance). So I just have a pod where I put the payment and use that pod to make payments to the credit card.

What about 2 jobs? Do I create 2 income sources, then aggregate them? OR do I create 1 income source? The deposit switch seems to only allow one account per.

You can do either. We would recommend creating 2 income sources if you want different rules to apply to them.

@ no major issues. Transfers have been smooth and fast. Usually next day for me. Just had to tweak my rules a few times. Once you get it “right” it really does help you save, invest, pay down debt, and set aside fun money without having to think about it.

Question, how long does it take to trigger to automatic transfers once you deposit money into internal account? I transferred $100 into a account and set up rules, but they haven’t moved any money yet.

This is great and ive already moved my ddeposit and made a bunch of rules. A few things would help though - allow us to have physical cards, i will pay for them idc. Also, please either make mobile apps or optimize website for tablet use and fix scaling. Thanks!

As he said, I distributes chronologically. So if your 20% runs out, it will run out chronologically. It will pay as much as it can toward the care credit card, then move to Barclays, etc.

Nick Great High Level summary on how we can use Sequence along with other finance apps. Yes, I use Monarch along with my QBO for my bookkeeper, I keep an eye on Monarch, the Rear budget thinking VS the Forward thinking for Sequence is golden. thanks!

You need to create a video where we set up a port or income source, and then show if I’m understanding this correctly that I could send my direct deposit using their account number and routing number that sequence gives me to send money directly to the income source tile that I just created in sequence. It would be nice too. If you would use language to better describe that you could use your own checking and savings account or when you create pods you could use those to pay your different bills or accounts. I’m trying to understand and I think I’m getting closer, but nobody’s broken it down Barney style.

The $ amounts shown on the accounts are the actual balances. These will always auto update correct ? Looking forward to using it!

Why bother with a port/pod? Seems like an extra step. Why not just have salary hit Wells Fargo checking and pay from there?

Seems like it might be due to the math. Like if you were to say transfer based on percentage, then it would be based on the set aside pod balance instead of total checking account balance.

Banks slow down your money, you get to regain control, and speed, while setting parameters for when and if funds should move. That would still be the case if you left all the money in your bank account but you would be subjected to 24 to 72 hour old school banking standards for funds clearing. F-that!
