I recently purchased a 2010 escape and the fuel gauge indicator doesn't seem to be accurate. I'm assuming it's the sending unit. Is the sending unit part of the fuel pump assembly in this replacement?

I needed to remove the driveshaft for easier access to the starter. Not much room with it in the way. 👍

could this be why my car isn't making good cabin heat? Or do Kona's have bad heat? no overheating of the engine though.

It’s a possibility. Especially if there are no coolant leaks or HVAC door issues. Coolant is full and no overheating issues. Check code history. If this code is there more than likely the culprit. I hope this helps 👍

lol this is 100% normal on the PCCBs. They are in very good condition. They are micro lines in the ceramic, not cracks. PCCBs are prone to squeal if they are not being braked hard. This is why you cannot take a car like this to a mechanic that doesn’t have familiarity with this braking system.

Do you still need to apply the purple grease in the southeast with no salt on the roads? I have no rust at all.

The purple grease or brake grease as it referred too at the part store. Comes in many forms and colors. Usually used for friction reduction between the mating surfaces. Basically used to reduce friction noise between the metal mating surfaces. I hope this helps. 👍

I had to do this same process to change the battery in my 2011, but thought I'd add some helps: 1) Once you loosen the two lower bolts and the funky one on the firewall - you can move it enough without disconnecting the computer plug crud on top of the unit. 2) You need a LONG extension (or like me play Lego with multiple extensions) to reach the two base bolts. 3) Look closely at the front of the battery, some models have a restraining bolt at the base (sgueegee looking one bolt thing), and if you simply unclip the plastic cowl in front of the battery, you can reach it with a 12 Metric, and not have to undo ANYthing else. #4) Battery posts are a #10, all others are a #12 #5) THIS ONE is a HUGE DEAL: The battery books and stores all say that it is a 121R Battery, and it is odd, and it's the only one they carry for the Kia Souls, AND...at Walmart its $149.00! At battery joints it is $200.00 and that doesn't include tax or core fee. Stupid that little battery is that expensive yes? WELL.... a standard 26R fits perfectly and works perfectly, and will cost you only... $65-69.00 (+ tax and core).!!!!

02 sensor or oxygen sensor socket set available at most tools distribution centers. With a ratchet. I hope this helps 👍

It has a bent valve and needs a rebuild. Some people have been lucky rebuilding the damaged head and others have had to replace the entire engine. Depends on the damage caused and how high the RPMs were during failure. I hope this helps. 👍

Are there 2 fill plugs? On the opposite end of the transfer case there is a 10mm hex. What's that for then? Compared to the fill plus u used?

@@619denzDriverside would be the transmission. The differential connects to the transmission. Differential check plug is a 24mm 👍

I would check all EVAP lines and connections disassembled or removed during service. Focus on the vent valve connection mine was corroded. Very possible your charcoal canister has failed if no leaks or connection failure found. Good luck 👍

Thanks very much for this. Helped me swap out my battery easily and at half the cost of the dealer. Didn’t use a battery saver and when I restarted the engine nothing but the clock reset. Even the clock fixed itself after I connected my iPhone through CarPlay. Good as new.

Could you help identify a possible issue with my gas pump? When I’m pumping gas, it keeps stopping as though the tank is full, even though it’s not. It cuts off every $1 or $2 worth of fuel. You can only image how long this takes to fill up, lol. I don’t have any warning lights or indicators on the dash showing a problem. The vehicle is a 2018 Dodge Ram.

The manufacturer has a hugh issue with the fuel tank and fuel tank EVAP system in these vehicles unfortunately. The dealer does have warranty information on this issue. The fuel tank and EVAP system along with fuel neck need complete replacement under the warranty is some case I’ve heard and seen. Good luck 👍

Depends on the length of service. If I have to leave and focus on something else then yes I would cover or stuff with a shop rag. Hope this helps. 👍

Do you need to turn the wheel with the cap off while the car is off in the on position to make sure there’s no air in the line?

Absolutely, this is a great way to works out any air in the system before starting. The vehicle will need to be turned many times stop to stop before starting. Some air will still be in system until completely functional. Once started work steering back and forth slowly. If air is still present. A gasket or pressure line is sucking in air from the fail point. Hope this helps. 👍
