I think we become to used to definitive ideas visually that we can turn our brains off to the more subtle concepts. Agnes Martin's works makes me consider what actually comes up in my mind and body when I look at it. Why the colours, why the lines, but like everything else its existence is completely valid because it simply is. And how do i feel about that?

I appreciate how exact Katie is as she describes her process and work. Her work is humbling, majestic, whimsical, masterful and loveable.
