I’m hoping that you remembered to look up the solution for puzzle 6, I think? The one with the box, fan, platform, and connector. The one that you cheesed… It should have been obvious that placing a connector on a wall wasn’t intended. You never stopped to wonder why the game gave you a box, fan, and platform when just a connector would have been needed otherwise. This puzzle is in fact very similar to a puzzle that the game threw at you when they introduced the clones. The puzzle where you had to use a platform to carry a jammer through the very barrier it was jamming.

Not sure if you’ve discovered since then, but the terminal interface that you have access to has a tab called “Log” that lists the transcripts of every conversation you have, which should include the ones that get cut off

You can keep the connections in the first game, it just didn’t tell you about it. Go back to the first game and right click the connectors and you’ll see for yourself .

It is really odd isn't it, that the cities feel like they should be fuller and bigger; more people, bigger locations, more stuff. And yet conversely when you're out and about exploring planets you should feel isolated and alone, and yet you don't as there's random copy/paste structures everywhere, ships constantly coming and going... They really couldn't get the balance right...

@@Oymon it’s kinda like they wanted to make a linear game, but randomly implemented an open world into it halfway in development but they didn’t want to do a death stranding so they just put random stuff in the map to keep you entertained.

They are sadly a lot rarer then the 2D variety, but they're fun if gotten right. The obvious examples being the Metroid Prime series.

This is a lot of time and dedication that I can't even begin to match. It's been 4 months in and you've seem to be doing well with your self-set goals. I have to admit something here, while I too have a channel with vids that I publish, I don't believe that I have earned them. Most of them came from me just being lucky with the youtube algorithm. I barely even learn how to edit, and run out of ideas after a minute into a video. You have so much more potential to grow even if it doesn't seem like it at first. Please, for my sake at the very least, don't give up.

Of the 2 Grandia games, I liked this one the most. Had the most heart & there's a scene the really pulls at your heartstrings.

Oh, absolutely! I mean, there's good reason it's my favourite JRPG. Also, fun fact: there's actually 4 Grandia games; 1, 2, 3 and Xtreme, (not including a couple of spin-offs). Only 1 and 2 have had a more recently 'HD' re-release of course, (still hoping for a G3 version) so yeah I get where you're coming from.

Well, as it happens, yes. This video is indeed 5 years old and I have just decided to start uploading my old streams to youtube. The original stream date was at the start of the episode. Haven't actually played the game for a while, didn't realise they've updated the storymode. I'll have to check it out!

Yeah, I know it's bad but I don't think there's much I can do about it. Back when I streamed these games all those years ago, I wasn't making my own personal recordings. Having stopped with KZbin at the time, I didn't see the point. So the vids you're watching are just downloaded directly from Twitch, so the compression you're seeing is a result of that.

Easily love AM2R more, Samus Returns literally gave me Other M ptsd with the parry system and overall felt much more focused on innovation than actually making a great metroid game. AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE SHOEHORNED RIDLEY FIGHT 😑. Samus Returns is a great casual game but AM2R is everything I ever wanted in a Metroid game
