Something that really bothers me with edifier speakers is that whenever I watch a teardown on them, it is always that same, one sad little piece of filing on the cabinet, usually right behind the woofer. This is from the entry level speakers to high end ones like this. Why?! Just why. Either edifier engineers have determined that cabinet filing is non critical and that will do, or they are cheapening out big time on something that costs virtually nothing compared to overall price. It's concerning. I hear good things about this kit but I feel put off looking at things like this, considering the price for them is quite substantial in my region and it's not a casual purchase. PS. and the plastic tweeter as well, kinda disappointing.

I'm wondering about the architecture of the wireless master to slave transmitting! While testing Airpulse A300Pro I made an assumption that each speaker has it's own mono DAC and amp (each speaker has one balanced input). That's making digital signal transmitted to a slave speaker without change and converted there on mono DAC. This architecture makes them so fantastic. But in same time the AUX input located on the Airpulse's master speaker is useless because of double digital-to-analog conversion. Edifier S3000 has both balanced inputs on the master speaker. I think that it has stereo DAC, then the left channel analog signal is converted back to digital to transmit to the slave where it's again passing through DAC. While testing my own S3000 I have a strong feeling that the left slave speaker sounds less detail than the master one. If I design the architecture I would try to avoid double conversion at least for digital input (for analog input it's not possible). But I do not believe Chinese product would do that. So, If I'm right, like @luca_rr4660, I wish to modify them and make the connection wired. Like S2000MKIII but with balanced input.

Hello! I am interested in the signal being transmitted from the master to the slave: is it an amplified signal for the tweeter, and another one for the woofer + the gnd?

I wouldn't open mine, or any other speaker, unless I really have to. Loosening screws and putting them back might wear out the threads a little, which might not be good for the rigidity of the installation of the speakers in the cabinet. Long term, cabinet resonance might come earlier.

Since this speakers are wirelessly connected to each other only, so no cable between left and right and no input accept the power cable on the left speaker, Edifer is extremly confident about the wireless connection and also about their Digiatl to Analog Converters (DAC) inside. Because the left speaker only gets an digital input and converts it. So I wouldn't worry about the digital inputs (optical, bluetooth aptx HD and USB) since the conversation from digital to analog will always happen inside the speakers. As long the source is good enough you shouldn't worry. BUT you have to give the speakers at lest 20-30h of break in time. In the beginning they sound a bit sharp but soften up later. They really really sound amazing and Im really impressed. Im happy I decided for this speakers and not anx other brand which I was looking into. They got very nice super tight Bass. Clear mids and very detailed highs. And you can actually use them for almost everything. From music mixing to movie watching. Just change the presets.
