I loved every minute of this brilliant presentation even though I already knew what the results would be thanks to getting a four-year degree in Astronomy many years ago. Had to do it in two sessions because of its length but it was so well done that it brought back all those Aha! moments from the first time! This doesn't mean I could explain it to an non-expert without notes, though, or even get most people interested, but it might be possible for someone with lots of patience. The math is actually very simple, so maybe! I've followed Dr Greene for decades of course, and he's one of the very best at explaining physics to the general public, right up there with Richard Feynman and others. Feynman wrote several books for the general public which are very entertaining as well as informative, and I only wish I'd managed to get to attend his early lectures at Caltech, which would have been easy from down here in San Diego. Feyman actually made a movie of his trip to Tana Tuva to experience Tibetan throat singing towards the end of his life, and was the only person to discover why that one avoidable disaster that killed several young astronauts shortly after launch from Florida happened many years ago, thanks to Ronald Reagan who insisted it go forward even though the engineers said it was too cold to be safe - another example of right-wing arrogance with no apologies offered either...
