Love this video. I have seen another video of this event of their starting Tachibana were the last to start, but what I admired about the band, was their enthusiasm and respect for the other bands , in was their clapping,dancing and cheering them off. A wonderful example of friendship given and the schools total respect to what is essentially a competitor.

115期オカツェルちゃんの時だね。らいちゃがシンバルで参加してます。ちっちゃくて笑顔も可愛すぎる。曲はもちろん、ダンスの切れもさすがです。田中先生も写ってましたが、合同交歓会のMCで、お別れの挨拶された、すぐのパレードですね。懐かしいです。

Dicen que no es bueno hacer comparaciones pero siempre son inevitables, hemos visto algunas bandas que tocan genial, otras con uniformes espectaculares, pero Tachibana tiene un nivel musical muy alto combinado con unas coreografias que envidiarían muchas bandas y lo más importante en un grupo de animación: esa eterna sonrisa que ilumina sus rostros, en el momento en que ejecutan su instrumento parece que van sonriendo. Ésta banda, a mi gusto, disfruta realmente lo que hace... Muchas felicidades Tachibana Banda, saludos desde México 🇲🇽...

As I kept watching this wonderful band, I kept noticing things that made them truly wonderful. First, I noticed a trumpet player who dragged her left leg (so did I in marching band and still do in my 74th year). She has a beautiful smile and wave. Then I noted that there were an inordinate number of tambourine player in the percussion section and among them were several who limped or had gait problems. Then it hit me: "This is a band where everybody has a place, What matters are the abilities, not the disabilities." There are no greater leaders, band directors, than those who find a place for all who desire to participate. That is why I love this band and find them to be the greatest of heart and spirit. They have learned respect from each other. Arigato, all honor and respect , to the directors and kids of Kyoto Meitoku High School Marching Band .

Those poor girls in the light purple smock uniforms at the 3 minute mark. Their uniform and hairstyle make them look like the checkout clerks at Walmart! Their marching and music are fine but I'm guessing lack of funds for better uniforms so I don't hold it against them.
