Thanx! And the funny thing is, it isn't really an open tuning! I use a partial capo stretching over three strings (A D G) at the seventh fret. The strings are tuned standard. ;-)

What would say a guitar like that is worth$?
@JeeWeeDonkers29 күн бұрын
Anywhere between €500 and €1000 would be my guess. As this particular one was part of an important piece of Dutch rock 'n' roll heritage, it's probably more.

I mean I have the RC10....and I just don't see the 500 as an upgrade. They took away so many drum presets....the 10 has 270 with different patterns for verse and chorus...and the 500 you have to do what he does in the video....how is that an upgrade from the 10?
@JeeWeeDonkersАй бұрын
It's not. The RC500 is an upgrade of the RC30, which had 9 non-editable drum patterns. I consider that an upgrade. The RC10 is a dedicated foot operated drum machine that can also do loops.

@JeeWeeDonkersАй бұрын
@@garycrouse1918 possibly either your track 2 measure is set to auto and your track stop is set to loop end, making the rc wait for the end of the loop time to stop recording.

NICE version! That Takamine looks almost identical to my Tak EN10C which also has a cedar top and which has been my workhorse guitar for about 35 years. It's on its third set of frets and still going strong. They're great, bullet-proof guitars for a gigging musician and they're really, really nice to play. Keep the songs coming! 👍

Overall good video. I had a problem with different measure loops. The looping track one which was the longer one started from the middle of the loop it didn't start at the beginning. I decided if I take Loop sync off on the second track this would free it up so it doesn't align with track one which is a different measure length. It seemed to work so I kept all your settings except on track two I put track sync off. This seemed to do the trick and I haven't noticed any issues with the drumming out of time. But really I haven't tried it for any length of time to be sure. The other setting I changed was loop end instead of immediate this way when I click the button for the next track it wouldn't start playing until the verse was finished or the chorus was finished. I think I did the same thing in memory mode where it asks Loop end

@JeeWeeDonkers4 ай бұрын
@@Aldred839 Not boomy at all. The Koa wood of the back and sides isn't like that. "Airy" and "transparent" are words that are more coming to my mind. If you listen to the concluding finger picked lines of this recording, you'll hear what I mean. My cedar/rosewood DN45C (same body shape) is definitely more bass heavy.

??? WAY TOO COMPLICATED. This is not standard musical language. Obviously the people at Boss who make these loopers aren't real musicians --- they are computer programmers and electronics technicians. Someone needs to explain to them that what musicians need is a looper with BAR STRUCTURES that are the basis of 99% of popular music. Whether it's 8 bar-12-bar-16 bar- folk/blues/country/rock and roll, or 32 bar form of classic jazz standards etc, they need to speak musically. What you are demonstrating with "Verse-Chorus" is way too limited. We need the ability to create song forms easily, and this is not the way. We need to write "A-B-A" or "A-B-C-A" or "A-B-A-B" or "A-B-C-D" or other standard variations including "Intro" and "Outro" etc.
@livepoetssociety-NL5 ай бұрын
Fair enough and I definitely don't want to defend Boss approach for two track looping. 😅 If you want to work with more complicated loops, try the RC600. This will give you 6 independent loops in series or parallel, whatever you desire. Or get yourself a Sheeran unit for triple the price. My approach shown here is to illustrate the fact that you can use verse-chorus looping even if you don't know the amount of measures for every part, for instance when improvising (which I do a lot). I don't use pre recorded loops. Intros and outros - even bridges - aren't usually played multiple times, so I don't needs loops for that.
