Good morning. This is also a hard decision we’ve came up to. It took a lot of discussions (and heated arguments which is normal for an organization) before we decided not to defend our title. Although money, is a factor ‘coz it costs so much to put up a program we normally produce, it’s not the sole reason why. There are more which we actually don’t owe to anyone. “Namimili ng sasalihan”? Hmmmm maybe yes? As competitor, it’s also our responsibility to assess our capabilities (physically and MENTALLY) whether we’re ready or not and if we believe we’re not then I think there’s nothing wrong with that. Those who won including those who decided to compete worked so hard for this honor. They truly deserve the spotlight and us not joining doesn’t make this Bakood Festival a less of a competition and us a less of a band. Besides, we’re not the only “regular participant” who opted not to participate. We have other commitments too aside from Cabuayo.
