Another amazing video as usual! I love the idea of not giving Sett a particular style or stance when you pick Monk-- because I had the same mentality when you mentioned he isn't formally trained. But it makes sense you can technically be a proper 'brawler' as a Monk by not electing to use the styles and still be plenty effective. (And honestly I was expecting that one 18th level monk feat that gives you forceful on your unarmed strikes to represent his left right punches, sorta!) While I'll miss the flashing feats on screen I much prefer this style of video for FBF-- It's just very clean and gets the point across pretty well on what you're conveying in text. There's probably a better way of explaining it but I like it! Keep up the awesome work, man.

What's an archetype?
@nicolasvillasecaali7662Ай бұрын
An archetype in Pathfinder 2e its a collection of feats that encapsulate a theme (pirate, herbalist, a Diva or a sword saint) that are outside the normal classes. You can gain acces to them taking their initial feat: a "dedication" reflecting how you become trained in said specific ways.
@readytodie5243Ай бұрын
Going back in time a bit, Pathfinder First Edition had class specific archetypes that would swap out certain class features for others to change the themes and flavor, mechanically, or at least make them more specific to a theme. In second edition, archetypes return as a suite of feats that you can take in place of class feats that follow certain themes or concepts. Once you take up an archetype, you have to take two more feats from it before you can take up another archetype.

Why not a gunslinger way of the triggerbrand? it seems more fitting for a character that switches melee/ranged
@readytodie5243Ай бұрын
According to my research and the people that I've talked to that have actually played the game, Squall doesn't actually really used the gun part of his 'gunblade' as a gun. Instead, he fires the gun in time with the impact of his blade to enhance its strike - he's a pretty melee-focused combatant known for high accuracy and manually triggered crits, leading to the decision to make him a fighter.

@@readytodie5243 I think they are in a rough place, definitely. Though I guess the big benefit of them is being able to be 'price efficient' with your runes as you share them between both weapons. Honestly it's wild that Way of The triggerbrand doesn't at least give you critical specialization with the melee part of combo weapons.
