I've had my ak for over a year and a half so far, I've out many rounds through it and it had ran flawlessly. I have used several mag types and the best ones by far are the magpul pmags. They run great and look great. The ak itself is beautiful and reliable. I'd recommend to anyone from my own experience.

I went the smersh route but the concept applies, I added more specialized pouches in-between the the buttpack and mag pouches and switched to using 2 pouches and stacking 3 mags in each to use the other 2 pouches for more useful items and organization. adding a real buttpack is nice to be able to attach a jacket or sleeping pad to and smaller items get put into my 1st line or corded and tied into the grenade pouches. I'd be happy to show you my example.

If you want to transfer your chest rig contents to your belt rig you can use a molle gp pouch by not looping the top three layers of molle and looping all of the rest. Its pretty secure if you do it right. I have a belt rig currently and I'm about to move away from it
