This is the first I will be removing the front shocks to replace the dust covers and bump stops which have disintegrated. Having watched your video and Autodoc's I am confident I can do the job. I wlll mark the position of the 2 strut bolts to hopefully avoid any camber issues. But I am confused with torgue values as getting conflicting values. What are the values using the existing bolts. A -Top strut 21mm nut - (65Nm or 67Nm) B - Top 3 strut mount bolts E12 - (50Nm or 20Nm +45 degrees or 40Nm ) ?? C - Bottom 2 bolts 21mm -shock strut to steering knuckle (95Nm or 120Nm+90 degrees) ?? Haynes manual gives ( I assume for new bolts /nuts ) A = 67Nm B = 20Nm +45 C = 120Nm +90 Many thanks

I would have thought you'd change the O ring's on the two pipes from the Electric auxiliary pump....., very critical , just as crucial as the the new plug on TC...

Should not buy a diesel engine if you use only for short journeys and at winter will be extra hard. 30 miles per day is not much of help if you do them multiple short journeys. 🤔

You mean the crank pulley/damper? You have only to put it on the crankshaft, it slides into. But be careful to remove the old black plastic ring inside (it's a chain noise damper). If you let it inside, you risk torquing the pulley misaligned pinching the plastic ring behind it

As an alternative to the not that novice diy guy/girl - would it be possible to just keep filling 6-7 atf and drive for 10-15 minutes and come back and empty and refill again and do that over until the atf is clear blue colour, just to avoid doing the TC process? Hope it makes sense :)

Hello, love your videos! Started with your transmission service and now this! Would you recommend liquid moly engine flush before emptying the old oil? Or would you recommend emptying the old oil, add the new oil, idle for 10-15 minutes and then add the engine flush, idle for 10-15 minutes and the empty the “old-new” oil, and finally add the new oil ? Hope it makes sense what I am trying to write :)

Ciao, ho appena acquistato la macchina e Ho trovato olio nella vaschetta del liquido refrigerante e motore che gira male, il meccanico mi ha suggerito di cambiare l’ho scambiatore di calore, secondo te e quello il problema? @@ticktime6569 ho trovato olio sotto come nel tuo video, praticamente da per tutto, lauto non fa nessun tipo di fummo, però e irregolare e addirittura mi è uscita la spia avaria olio , pero olio sta al massimo

@@ruslanilii9217 potrebbero esserci più problemi sommati. Il sensore di livello olio è anch'esso noto per avere guasti. Quindi o vai per esclusione rischiando di dover rifare tutto oppure devi far fare una diagnosi accurata e non è detto che ci prendano giusto. Ovviamente è più probabile sia lo scambiatore della testata. Devi anche controllare se perde dal paraolio della puleggia albero motore

@@ticktime6569scusa ho visto adesso il tuo messaggio, se il scambiatore è difettato il motore perde la pressione olio nel motore? Perché accendendola dopo 10 secondi si cominciano a sentire battetti ecc e il meccanico dice che ce poca pressione del olio e per quello non va a lavorare bene il olio e si sente la catena ecc e per questo si presenta anche la spia del mancato olio(non più accesa dopo aver buttato 250ml)

@@ruslanilii9217 non saprei, può darsi ma deve essere una perdita notevole per perdere pressione. La catena in quei motori si sente 30 secondi dopo l'avviamento quando è elongata, ovvero se ha fatto pochi tagliandi. Io farei fare una diagnosi accurata prima di mettermi a smontare mezza auto
