I don’t consider Anwar Maqsood as an intellectual or sort of sage of any kind. He is a narrator who exploits the common man with his verbosity, and that’s pretty much it. The problem with the people of Pakistan is that they tend to idolize people just due to their greasy tongues and hence their intellectual exploitation by people like him. I know most of the people here are not going to like my comments but then again being in majority has nothing to do with veracity.
