David is Portland royalty and was a legitimate pioneer of gigantic kinked rail skating. Jamie Foy's and Kevin Baekkels would not exist without Gravette's contributions to skating. If you're going to try and copy GH at least start with an opinion that people who know their shit will agree with. That first 5-0 clip you pointed out is literally the reason I wanted to learn 5-0's on rails, the leaned back heel pinch pop out is sick as hell. Also reusing a clip from a legitimately funded professional video in a homie video is fine it happens all the time. Dude is still putting out parts while his hip and shoulder pop out of their socket if the wind blows too hard.

It's all good that you don't care for his style, but this video is interesting... I'm not sure if you're aware of his injury history, but the dude has battled just to keep skating. And seeing you don't exactly have the skills or experience to back much of your critique, it's just a bad look.

This style of content has been popularized and pioneered by Redbar Radio (for comics) and Gifted Hater (for skaters). It loses its essence when done incorrectly, becoming oversaturated and overdone. If the content quality is bad, it will naturally fade away, so I see these critiques as mere attempts to gain attention or subscribers. Additionally, if this content had any merit, I’d suggest dropping the fake deep voice, also known as vocal fry. It comes across as forced and inauthentic. Lil Wayne is a prime example of someone with a heavy case of this.
