The Police were reggae-rock at its finest. Many bands have had limited success in this genre, but none have had the sustained success with it like The Police. Matthew 21:22

I got this song on a ,45 from the B side of Message in a Bottle. Years ago I told one of my friends about a police song called landlord, he's a Police fan and he had never heard it.

No other drummer in the world would drum to the "Bo Diddley" beat like this. It's awesome. I love how he goes from the flying hats and octoban and tom fills and splashes into a straight-ahead backbeat, and then some side-sticking towards the end to keep color and variety. The man is one of the most genius drummers. And he always looks like he's going to murder his drum set.

Two of the best concerts of my life, one in the front row. Sydney Showgrounds 1981 and 1982. Such an original sound... with only 3 people! And Copeland... what a legend.
