My brother & I spent summers in Balto at granny's in the '60s & '70s. This film nails the neighborhoods & atmosphere of that period. Feeding the rats. Yes, they did that too. People painted the screens on their ground floor windows so you couldn't see in. Most people didn't have AC. I lived in Hampden years later. Beech & Hubner, across from Wyman Park. Why, because Hampden was where John Waters made his movie, Pecker, in '98.
