Honestly, the past ten years have been distressing. I am happy to see it all finally dying, if only so slowly. I suppose Andrew Tate doxxing himself because his ego was wounded by an autistic girl's disregard of him marked the beginning of the end. The Superman "Starman" memes also seem to mark a turn back toward the light. I think it was seeing just how awful the likes of Tate were, how empty and vacuous Peterson turned out to be, and how it all ultimately leaves men worse off, regardless of your thoughts about the alternative. I am not a Christian man, my interest in the particulars of Christian theology and social thought notwithstanding. But I sometimes thing there is wisdom in how people in general used to handle disappointment: that it simply wasn't God's will, or His plan. I may think more needs to be done, but I think the first step is getting these men to their senses. That starts with them realizing that a lot of things in life are out of ones control; success in love ultimately is a matter of fortune. It's nothing any of us can truly dictate. If that is the case, disappointment becomes easier to live with. Life is mostly disappointment after all, a vale of tears as the good book says.
