In about 1970, I cycled up to Stansted Airport after school, as usual, and became aware that a piston engined aircraft had landed, but the new terminal under construction prevented my view. I assumed it to be a DC-3, as several were regulars at the airport, and then to my amazement, this French Airforce Noratlas came taxing at speed towards the old Nissen hut terminal, which then had an apron in front of it for light aircraft. It was a joyous sight, it then maneuvered and parked up right in front of me with a judder. At that time, there was a fence with an opening in it, I can't quite remember exactly what the layout was, but the public had access if they were cheeky. After the crew got out, I laid my bag down and took out my camera, and strode towards it, being careful to look like I was taking a few long distance shots, so the crew would realise I was just a photographer, then I got as close as I wanted, and took shots from different angles. After I got what I wanted, I walked away directing a merci towards the crew still chatting outside the hut with an official, and one of them just gave me an informal salute in response. Lovely. I was about 15. I've no idea what the occasion was. The next day there was an Aer Turas Bristol Freighter in exactly the same place. These were exotic visitors. Security wasn't always so lax, and I took liberties, going out to photograph the ex Olympic Comet 4Bs newly bought by Channel Airways, right in front of the control tower, and the police chased me and my friend through the woods. They took us and our bikes home in the police car, and warned me in front of my Mother. She was marvellous, supporting us 100%, saying you see these boys at the airport every day, you know them, so what's the fuss in them taking a few pictures of those clapped out old Comets...😀...

Dogfight es en el caso de solo disponer del cañón y tener la capacidad de salir de esa situación, obviamente si tienes el ala cargada no pensaras llegar a esa instancia, por algo mantienen el cañón en aviones de 5 generación o no. Por eso el piloto debe mantenerse entrenado para este posible enfrentamiento.
