I get nearly identical performance in DX8 and DX9 because both are emulated through DXVK on Intel Arc.

Does master config allow to downgrade everything except Gibs upon death and war paints quality? I really don't wanna sacrifice war paint graphics but don't care about the rest of graphics 😅

you can keep textures on high and keep ragdolls on/gibs. you put these in the modules.cfg in your overrides folder that comes with a mastercomfig download (if you have customizations selected) ragdolls=on gibs=on for the gibs/ragdolls textures=high for the warpaints. warpaints will not work if you are one dx8.

depends on your internet and closeness to servers. some people will never reach the 10-20 ms ping. i hover around 30-40 myself. there is not much of a difference between these pings

footsteps is not a setting, it is a mod. check the vpk's in ur custom folder and see if you have it installed. it is sometimes installed by mastercomfig by default depending on the preset you chose.

those are the comp viewmodels. delete the vpk in your custom folder for it to be disabled.

just realizing for me its just luck, i used to play high graphics but i lagged, i switched to low graphics but i lagged a lil bit but i turned back to high graphics and it was now running smoothly (i have never updated anything on my pc exept pc updates)

if you add -vulkan instead of using dxlevel you'll be able to use vulkan which can better utilize your gpu.

More specifically getting it to flash different colors when moving in certain directions, how would I get this to work in game? Works if I enter the binds console, but i'd have to enter it everytime I launch the game. Any way around this?

snaetos is dumb idiot, in autoexec, if you want something executed on launch, put "exec misc/(cfg name in misc folder), e.g. "exec misc/xhairflashingscript" (without the quotations ofc) additionally, you can type the entire thing everytime you wanna exec it..which is annoying. you can bind it to a toggle if you want to aswell with the bindtoggle command.

Hey heads up -noquicktime is just a launch parameter for SFM. I don't see it being used in TF2.

wrong. it is a replay function that was used for recording and no longer supported (and is dangerous to use nowadays). one search and you can find what it was. the launch option disables its initialization. it never worked on linux, so linux users do not need this launch option.
