Hello , I have the exact car the radiator went bad from the plastic side leaking so much . So today I was able to take the fan out after struggle but I’m having hard time taking the button 2 screws off of the radiator it’s just so much shit and hoses any idea please? And if I put the performance radiator like the one you put is there any issues with the fitting? Thank you
@ModelcarNick2 ай бұрын
I definitely recommend going with the OEM just because the lifetime of the radiator is about 100,000 miles so doing the upgrade to the CSF probably wasn’t the best thing to do unless you plan on doing like a stage 2 tune. Also for the bottom screw are you referring to the intercooler?
@adamsaleh41432 ай бұрын
@@ModelcarNick thanks for responding, no I’m talking about the radiator bottom screws there are in the back right by the lower small hoses each side there’s a hose and there’s a screw right on top of the hose, and what’s stage 2 tune?
@ModelcarNick2 ай бұрын
@@adamsaleh4143Yeah I remember those taking a while. I used a torque wrench to get it loose and then unscrewed the rest with my hands. I think I loosened it from the bottom but to can always try the top to get a better angle on it. Also a stage 2 tune is for the cars computer and basically it makes your car faster. It can add like 80 horse power to the wheels.

Did you need to disconnect the trans cooler from the fan? Having a hard time removing the fan without it getting hung up
@ModelcarNick4 ай бұрын
I did not. You just have to go underneath the car and push them out out of the way and push up on the fan. It’s definitely a pain. Good luck and be careful

@ModelcarNick8 ай бұрын

@@ModelcarNick nice. My radiator cracked on new car. Was considering to get CSF and an inter cooler. While I’m in there do the water pump… did you already do your water pump ?
@ModelcarNick8 ай бұрын
Had my water pump replaced prior to doing the radiator. I personally didn’t do that job but I if you feel confident definitely try yourself. One thing I recommend you do is potentially replacing all the cooling hoses while you’re there. Mine are leaking now after the installation. Not sure if it’s a pressure issue. As of now if you’re running a stock car I might recommend you go with the OEM radiator
