Hi, your layout has always been one of those on here I do enjoy watching. Funny I was just watching this episode thinking "I wonder if there are any ideas for changes" then read your description...............Well this layout has been fun, the four track section near the tunnel reminds me a bit of Hatton Bank near Warwick...............Not sure if that was intended to be a real location..............Anyway, look forward to seeing the new layout when the time comes, I but you end up using very little scenery from this layout. I know I thought I'd so the same last time, but then found I didn't as I wanted to "up my game" so to speak with the new layout. All the very best and good luck when the time comes, Dave.

Thanks Dave. It's been fun to operate it. The four track section came about by accident. Originally it was meant to be running into a fiddle yard, it just seemed a shame to lose 12 feet of scenic space so i incorporated it into the layout. I know what you mean about the current scenery. There's a few bits and pieces that I'll reuse for sentimental reasons but I've got a few new ideas as well. The majority of my stock is Ex-LMS and Ex-GWR so I'll try and repurpose as much as I can of the buildings etc.

@@amblefordjunctionmodelrailwayIt's great starting a new layout, but selling off all that stock, most likely at a loss too, I just can't bare to do either. Same stock new layout seems to keep the continuation and memory of the old layout going nicely to me. Thanks for the reply, all the very best Dave.

First time coming across your channel and I love the layout you've created, shame to hear that it is not long left for this world. What would the issues be with it? From an outsiders viewpoint it seems to run quite happily.

There should be a few more running sessions yet hopefully. The idea is to try and get the new base boards built for the next layout in the coming weeks and then get cracking with the new layout over Christmas. The wiring could do with an update. Theres a few issues there. Nothing major but it could do with a bit of work. I think the next layout will be DCC and I'll take the plunge with a new controller.

Another epic video... love the angles, of course. I really like the 4 lanes (lines) banking scene, but everything is just stunning! Brilliant all around and nice mix of trains to really kick it into orbit!

I dry brushed paint onto the frames of those coaches. I don't quite trust myself with an airbrush just yet for weathering !

Just caught up with this with my grandson. What an enjoyable video we've really enjoyed watching it. Your layout looks great. We've been looking back at your videos over the last few weeks. My grandson posted his latest video on his Dylington Model Railway channel yesterday. He get inspired by watching videos like yours, he spent a good hour and a half filming stop-motion animation for 25 seconds of footage for his latest. Great video again... Cheers James 🙂👍

A very nice layout indeed. I like your style of static shots with trains running through so we can study scenery details. Most videos tend to have panning shots which is too fast and makes you giddy😵💫. Well done🙂.

Hi ya.. Great running session. Brilliant looking layout. Especially like the coal yard. Got two Warships myself not run them yet, re doing the layout at the moment. Thanks Ray. It's really kind of you to watch and comment. The patriot is a fairly new addition to the layout so I enjoyed filming it. I purchased it from the Warley show but I've only just got around to giving it a proper run out.

Thanks Alan. The layout is DC. It's a few years old now. I'm planning a new layout which I hope to build in the next couple of years if everything goes to plan. That will be designed for DCC.

Epic running on one of the prettiest and most wonderful layouts on the web! Truly stunning. I especially loved the red train and loco (don't know my classes very well, outside the most obvious... like 43s, 37s, 66s).

Thanks as ever for the kind comments ! It's a BR Class 42. Or known as a warship. It's a favourite class of loco for me. This model is quite an old tooling now from Bachmann. Still a nice runner though!
