Grohl always sounds like he just hits the drums harder than any other drummer. Reminds me of Bonham.

Not a very good recording. Too bad because it's awesome music with stellar musicians

OMG! Rush (sans St. Neal Peart) with Dave Grohl, Chad Smith, and and Danny Carey? I live to hear great drummers.

The reason Alex doesnt get the credit he deserves is because he isnt american or british. Rip Neil and long live Rush.

When Chad gets in the pocket he reminds me so much of Bonzo. ✊🏽

Such a cool show. I noticed some other live dates didn’t include a drum corp. it was great seeing it live. Especially the suspended drummers. That whole show was legendary. There’s only one Queen, and that’s Madonna! ❤❤❤❤

I gotta say Danny Carey is the best “replacement” drummer here for Rush. Amazing stuff!

Geddy always pretty much looks the same, even at 70, but Alex is definitely showing the age these days.

How nice of them to give Chad a non Neil track. I know Chad is a huge RUSh nerd so it would be quite the nerve wracking task to play one of his parts live with Alex and Geddy.

I see no drummer still can't get those pauses and phrasings on YYZ. Only Neil could because he knew the notes.

Such a shame that concerts have all turned into extended sing-alongs. The only way most people can enjoy a concert these days is by demonstrating that they know all the words by singing along at the top of their lungs the way they would while listening to the radio or a record. No one cares about the performance anymore.
@coolhand6220 күн бұрын
I totally agree. I usually sing under my breath, not to bother anyone. The guy behind was singing way too much, but my biggest issue were the 4 twenty wannabees that came down half way through and sat right in front of us. The leader was probably the tallest guy at the concert and he never stopped. Always standing, when no one else was and acting like a mad man, overdoing everything he did. He was one of the most annoying persons I've ever witnessed at a concert. Obviously very drunk. At one point I found a meme of Will Farrell on my phone and showed it to him. It said ' Hey dude, I remember my first beer too'.

I'd love to hear Geddy and Alex play with Gavin Harrison of Porcupine Tree. Not as a reunion. It wouldn't be RUSH without Neil. But I think Gavin might be one of the few drummers who could maintain the heart of Neil's parts while also putting his own stamp on it. I know Alex has played on at least one PT album, so maybe one day . . .
